It was a Friday night in aug and FH asked if I wanted to go to the beach and dinner. I knew something was up...b/c he never wants to walk on the beach (I love it), He proposed at the beach in westhampton. He said he had wanted to do it on a trip...but he couldnt get anything planned in time...so he did it on a beach so each anniversary we could take a vacation to a new beach

John was persistant about becoming 'official' and i kept saying not yet and then one day i texted him and said 'pick a date' (meaning to start our relationship. he then always told me he would propse via text message since we started officially dating that way and i said i'd kill him.

it was our friends Birthday so we were going out to dinner with him and his wife. when i got home there was a trail of rose petals leading to the bedroom and propped up on a pillow was my old cell phone. on it was a text that said Will You Marry Me and the ring was tied to the antenna with fishing line

I knew he was going to do it but didnt know exactly when. All he promised me was that before 2008 was over we will be engaged. So when we were opening our presents on Christmas eve and he gave me my present but said he had another gift that I couldnt get until the next day at my Uncles house. So all night i was bugging him asking him what did he get me not even realizing it could be the ring. So when i woke up at 730 in the morning to start bugging him he couldnt take it anymore told me to go out of the room for a min and he would call me when he was ready. And when he was ready he was on one knee in my bedroom and said : You are my life and I love you with all my heart will you marry me? I cried even thought I knew it was coming eventually LOL. It was sweet and it didnt have to be one of those romantic extravigante things that some do because we arent really like that.

it was the day after thanksgiving (black friday). We went shopping all day and then I went home and took a nap. We had planned to get a quick bite to eat. He came over, told me he wanted to give me a really early xmas present, and I pulled this ornament out of a gift bag. It was minnie and mickey mouse window shopping for an engagement ring. I was confused for a minute, and then it clicked. I turned around and he was on his knee. I was totally surprised!

We hang our christmas tree pretty early every year so I didn't think it was out of the ordinary that he wanted to get our Christmas tree on a Friday night early this December. We decorated most of the tree and I went into the other room to get a camera to take pictures. After taking lots and lots of pictures (with the ring on the tree and not noticing it was there) he eventually directed me to a ring dangling from the Christmas tree like an ornament. Before I knew it he was down on one knee.

so i was taking a dance workshop so he all of a sudden picked me up and told me he was going to take me to the bronx zoo....so we walked around saw the animals and told me ' we are going to go to the butterfly garden last' ...and the time came to go to the butterfly garden...it was completely empty....i was soo happy because i love butterflies...i started taking pics and stuff and all of a sudden i see his family and my family walking in and he started telling me how much he loves me and how long he has been thinking of doing this and those beautiful things and then he got down one knee and said ' will you marry me' it was perfect!! i loved it he really picked a great place!

We had gone in Aug and picked out the ring together, so I knew it was coming. But he told me that it wont be till my b'day in Nov. On Aug 15 we had plans for a dinner cruise around Manhattan and right after dinner he asked me to marry him. The funny part was that he dropped it when he took it out of the box and we couldnt find it at first. Here I am on the floor looking for the ring saying OMG, OMG. Thank God he didnt do it on deck, my ring would hve been fish food!!!!

in the parking lot before a new york islanders game (a lot of our family was going to be there because i organize group games) he gave me a build a bear decked out in islander uniform and when you squeeze its hand it says 'will you skate with me for the rest of m life' and then i turned to him and he was on one knee outside the car with the ring in his hand.

Jackie ... your proposal was one of my fav ... i think the first time we had this post i cried and was showing my FH like u seee THATS A PROPOSAL !!!!!!!

We take a few trips to Disney every year. We were in Disney for our last big trip of 2007 and we were eating dinner at Artist Point in Wilderness Lodge. After we ordered desert, I noticed all the waitress' walking over to our table. They put a platter of flowers with cinderella's slipper on the table and my ring was sitting in the slipper. FH got down on one knee and proposed.



Everyone in the rest. clapped and we had a champange toast. He also bought me a brick on the walkway right outside the magic kingdom (they were briefly selling them again that year)
