Just figured I would say hi and see hwo the planning is going for everyone? I also wanted to know what everyone thought about when to get vendors and things like that. How early is too early and when should it be done?

Hey!! I just booked Crest Hollow tonight! so exciting! I don't think it can hurt to start researching vendors now. I wouldn't feel pressured to necessarily book anything yet but I do know that for certain photographers and entertainment its good to look about a year in advance. I did hear however that it's never too early to start looking for a gown! hope that helps!!

Its never to early to book vendors. I have the church,rh, and photo/video already in a few month I will be doing dj. I look at it as the more I do now the less I do next year. Plus if there is a vendor you really want then book ASAP because vendors book up fast.

Working on the RH this week. I'm pretty sure we are going with Westbury Manor, but FH wants to look at a few more for a price comparison. I don't think it is too early at all to book vendors, we have more choice now.

tried on wedding dresses last nite for the 1st time i fell in love with 1 dress already!

Wow, I feel so far behind!! I haven't booked anything yet, I'm pretty close to a reception hall and I am calling the church tomorrow.
I want to get those two things out of the way so I can relax and save, save, save

It really isnt to early. i thought it was to early to start planning also but when i signed on to LIW i realized there were brides with dates further out than mine that had already purchased thier dresses. I am already overwhelmed i cant imagine waiting closer to the wedding
UPDATE**** Limos and photography booked...trying to get that 2009 pricing!!!

went to our Showcase @ Villa Lombardi's tonight..let me tell you..soooo excited! it is so beautiful & the food was absolutely phenomenal!!...i won a free light show from the Dj company we want to use too!..& I dont care how far away it is I want all the 2009 prices booked for 2011 because they'll just keep going up. Made 3 appts& got money off if we book with them which is awesome.. FH thinks he's funny saying its a good thing its so far away because if it was next year it would be here so soon you'd have nothing to look forward to!..thanks alot haha

I think as long as you feel comfortable booking then it's not to early. I've booked my reception hall & photographer then promised I would chill out with the planning until next year..now I kind of wish I hadn't made that promise. Planning is addictive!!!

Hey! My room is the Plaza Room and I have the Upper Terrace for the CH and the Starlight room for the ceremony. My banquet manager is Eric.
Do you have any OOT guests and if so, what hotels were u thinking of?

My room is the emerald room on the first floor and my CH is outside by the waterfall and the pool. Eric is my banquet manager too. I am not having many oot guests but i went to a bridal show at the four points sheraton in bethpage and its beautiful. It is not too far but your guest would definatly need some sort of transportation. There are a bunch of hotels really close but i do not know too much abt them.

I loooove planning (but what girl doesn't?) Its just the money part that isn't too fun! lol
I booked the RH, and since were doing the ceremony on site, that part is done too. I plan to have the DJ & Photo/video done by the end of June as well. After that I want to save up some more $$ before I book anything else...okay, well, maybe the limo too!

Congratulations.... enjoy being engaged... i don't have that much done either.... I only have the RH and the church done.... Your date is the day after mine..... If you need any information on reception halls i have a lot of price quotes and info for July of 2011 FM me!!!!
