Hi Bears,
Choosing an appropriate center piece is driving me nuts. I am afraid to go with the high ones since the ceilings in the skylight room is low . Do you think it matters???? Do you have a pic of yours since it sounds nice.

My gf had pretty high centerpieces.. and she also had the pyrotechnics.. and everything was ok.. (what room are you getting?) she was in the big room.. she had about 420 guests..

My in-laws went to a wedding at the floral terrace (same owners as sand castle ) and said the food was amazing they got four entree choices and everyone at their table was extremely happy

Hi KarenJ.

To answer your question, yes the chicken francaise was an entree choice. She had a choice of 4- Salmon, Filet Mignon, Rack of Lamb and Chicken.
When I went to look at the location as a possibility for my site, I saw a copy of the menu and Chicken Marsala was a choice. I probably would have gone with that.

As I said, the whole place was amazing. What room are you having your reception in? The whole place is beautiful. Unfortanetly it rained but not to worry there are plenty of spots inside for Photo ops. I was impressed though at dinner, the waiters walked around afterwards offering the guests seconds.

With this place I feel as though aside from centerpieces you really do not have to do much decorating.

Thanks for the input. I was given the skylight room since my guest list is 140-150 and the ballroom was not availible anyway on my date. I have the cocktail room downstairs.

The high centerpieces in the Skylight room looked really good -- the ceiling didn't affect it at all. I wish I could post a picture for you, but I don't own a computer at home, nor do I have a scanner!!! The next time I'm at my MIL's house, I'll scan some for you (she lives up in the Poconos) -- actually that will be the end of Nov/Dec!!!
