How's this for a fun contest?

Original post by LIWeddings

As many of you know Scott of Danielle&Scott fame details cars and from what I hear he is pretty darn good too! So as a way to promote his business (yup I'm breaking my own rules) and have fun I am going to run a contest. The winner gets their car detailed by Scott and I get to pay for it! Good for you, good for Scott and for me, well, I like paying for things and making people happy so that makes me a winner too! Here's how the contest works.

There are two cars that are my dream cars. One is an older car and one is new. They are of different makes. What you need to do is ask me questions on this thread about the cars in an effort to guess what they are. I will not tell you the make, model or anything that will out right give the answer away. When you think you know what the cars are FM me ONLY do not post it here. I will not tell you if you are right so you can send in as many as five guesses over the contest (each guess must contain both cars). Send me the year, make and model of both cars. In the event of a tie, there will be a random drawing. The contest closes Wednesday the 14th at noon.

All The Best!

Is it older than my cousin born in 1962?

See answer above this one!

Sneaky, sneaky LIW, You said it was not older than 1963, which means it could be anywhere from 0-1963. I asked if it is older than 1962 ...

Answer the question, please ....

If it's not older than 1963 how could it be older than 1962?

Hope you're not a school teacher!

Ummm, no and if you reread my question you'll see that the way you answered 'it is not older than 1963' could still mean that it was a 1963, just not 1964 and above ... so basically my question was trying to find out if it was a 1963 ...

Does the older car have a rear-split window??

Could be!

Is this a yes or a no?!?!

YES!

Hah! I think I'm right - same as my dream car!!!

I'm not going to try for guessing the new car because I'm going to win the scrapbooking contest and it just wouldn't be fair to walk away with all the goodies!

What a cop out!

does the older or the newer car have any kind of emblems that are animals?

old - nope!
new - kinda

I'm sorry .. but what does the new car 'kinda' having an animal emblem mean? Can you clarify a teeny tiny bit (i.e., yes or no?)

Is there a winner???

Yes! But remember this contest goes till next week so there can be multiple winners. We will draw a winner from all correct guesses from our famous very clean plastic garbage pail.

What a cop out!

OK - how about I won't try to win because it just doesn't seem right to have Scott detail a 1996 Saturn with 125,000 miles on it, never been waxed and hasn't been vacuumed out since I moved here 3 years ago!

By the way - new car - current model year, or do you consider this millenium to be new?

Sounds like a challenge for him!

I already gave the year for the new car in a previous post.
