Well happpy hump day everyone!! Count down to the weekend!!!
I know one of the potential 'superlatives' for the 2010 bridal shower is best engagement story...and we all have cute, wonderful engagement stories....but with that being said...
***if you could change some thing about the proposal, what would it be? or if you envisioned being proposed to in a certain way, what was it?****
For me, the one biggest thing i would change is how i looked! FH popped the question the weekend before we were set to leave for Italy. Now, usually, before a big trip I do all the primming and take care of myself (nails, eye brows, etc etc)...but before that, well, lets just say i let myself go...
So, when FH popped the question I was wearing clothes that I have worn before (saving all new, cute outfits for italy), my eyebrows looked a wreck, and overall i just didnt look/feel cute.
I always pictured being asked over a romantic dinner wearing a new outfit and looking good. So, yeah, i was surprised. lol. I just really wish i looked better that day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved everything about it, i just wished i rememberd what he said to me! I saw him on one knee and then i saw the box, and it was like l went into shock! And i wish was wearing something cuter.. I just had on jean capris and a wife beater! the pics would have been better..
HHAHAH same here! I really don't remember what he was saying either! He proposed on his boat (which is the first place he told me he loved me).....We walked into his boat and there were rose pedals all inside....he closed the door behind him and the instant he said 'BABE' I knew exactly what was about to happen and I can't really remember what he said!!! He dropped down on one knee and I think from there on I really can't remember anything, it was a total blur!! lol....I asked him after to repeat what he said LOLOL......

it was very sweet but not what i always wanted. i wanted it to be someplace with a view or on vacation on the beach or something. ideally, i wanted it to be on the verandah in brooklyn, lol which i had hinted out but you know men!!

haha considering i orchestrated 99 percent of it prob nothing..although he never actually asked it was more of a, 'want to wear your ring now?'

I would not change anything!!! Except maybe would have done my hair better, put some makeup on and change my cloths!!!

Haha actually, I don't know if I do wish that. Then I wouldn't have known to take tons of pics leading up to it!
FH also put the ring on the wrong hand... it was cute that he was so nervous though, so I don't think I'd change that lol

I wish I took him seriously! lol. I'm only 20 and we had moved into our first apartment 3 days earlier, so I really didn't believe him and I actually don't remember anything he even said to me because I was in such disbelief. And I wish I didn't look like a complete mess, because I had just gotten home from a long, horrible day at school and I was in one of his sweatshirts and my hair was a mess...lol.

They wouldve written on the cake!! The hotel delivered the cake and it was supposed to say Will you marry me?? and it didn't.
But its ok, the cake was DELISH!

I would have liked him to get down on one knee. However, it was done in a way that was VERY us!!!
Ohhh well! I love my ring and him ... and am as happy as can be!

I would have changed the fact that I knew ahead of time it was coming. I love FH and I'm excited to marry him but I feel like I got jipped out of a real proposal.

i wish i wouldnt have known it was coming. i told him that i wouldnt care if he told me when he was shopping for the ring so he let me know. so then i kinda knew it would be coming soon. i didnt cry when we got engaged and im a big sap, i think if i didnt knwo it was coming soon that i prob would have cried

I wish I didn't know it was coming and I wish he stayed in his initial plan of asking me in front of everyone. Oh and not at 7 am lol
