Huntington Townhouse / Villa Lombardi's

Hi, I am getting married in April of 2004. I was at the Huntington Townhouse last night and got offered an amazing price, and I thought that the place was beautiful, and so I gave them $20 to hold the date for me and I now have 3 weeks to decide. This is also the first place that I've looked and now after hearing all the bad things about them on here, I am going to go get my $20 back, so thank you all for that Also, I am incredibly interested in Villa Lombardi's I just am on a tight budget, so does anyone have any idea of their prices? I will most likely be getting married on a Friday night, cuz its cheaper. Thanks in advance!

Re: Huntington Townhouse / Villa Lombardi's

I agree about NOT getting married at the Townhouse. Villas is a lot more, probably around $100+, not sure what their guest requirements are. But the food is great.

Re: Huntington Townhouse / Villa Lombardi's

I think from my friends' experiences that Villa Lombardi is pretty negotiable.. what time of year are you looking into?? there are soo many places that you can look at.. how much are you looking to spend..

Re: Huntington Townhouse / Villa Lombardi's

Cathie...I heard from my Aunt the the place is beautiful and the food was great. She is the cook in our family so I believe that the food has to be good. According to my friend that looked to get married there is was more than $100 per plate. You can still check though.

I just got married at Chateau Briand own by the Scottos and everything was so beautiful. It was great!

Re: Huntington Townhouse / Villa Lombardi's

When I went to look at villa lombardi's he wanted $75 for a sunday night in oct. They have a great menu. Alot of food and choices. They were my first choice but they were booked on my date over 2 years in advance.

Good choice to not go to huntingtown house!!! My MOH went looking there and also put a deposit down. All I have to say is make sure you get the cash right there on the spot. I know another girl who waited 7 months to get her money. Oh, I could tell you stories about how shady those people are.
You should be able to get a decent price for april since its kinda off season. I would try fox hollow, watermill, North Ritz club (my place) or maybe the Larkfield Manor. Good Luck!

Re: Huntington Townhouse / Villa Lombardi's

Villa was beautiful and the food was great. Pick dates that are close and you can probably get a good deal! Majestic Gardens is also nice and they might work with you also, Good Luck!

Re: Huntington Townhouse / Villa Lombardi's

I was just in a wedding party at Villa's- it was wonderful!!! It's beautiful there and the food is outstanding-
I heard not so great things about the other place
If it were me I would try to do a Fri. or Sun or off season at Villa's or try to cut the budget somewhere else.

Good luck!

Re: Huntington Townhouse / Villa Lombardi's

I booked with the Villa in 2001 and we are paying around $80 a plate. They are a lot more reasonable then I thought and I am sure they could work something out plus the food is great!!!

Re: Huntington Townhouse / Villa Lombardi's

We had to fight them to get our money back! We only put down 50.00 and had to fax them a letter and refax it like 5 times and then call them and scream at them to get it back. But 20.00 is not too bad. When we went they were very interested in telling me about there new cappucino and espresso machine. Let us know what happens or forum mail me.

Re: Huntington Townhouse / Villa Lombardi's

I have heard bad things about the Huntington townhouse. The one wedding ran into the other wedding at the cocktail hour and they were literally throwing the food on the table. The cocktail hour winded up being 15 minutes. The actual dinner was so served real late.

Villa's is not as expensive as everyone thinks. You get a lot of food for money. If that is what you are going for. Best of luck to you!

Re: Huntington Townhouse / Villa Lombardi's

I got married at Villa Lombardi's. If you go for a Friday night...which we did, you can get a better price, and the min. is lower. I HIGHLY recommend Villas. The food is delicious, and the service is INCREDIBLE.

Re: Huntington Townhouse / Villa Lombardi's

Cathy;

I know that most places won't give prices over the phone, but what we did. When Leonard's was reluctant to give any price ranges, I just told the girl that we were coming from out of town (which we were) and that we didn't want to waste their time and ours if they were way out of our range. I asked her if they could do something in the $60 - $65 range and she said they probably could. That was enough to get me in and talking. Just tell them that if something in the $50 range is not even remotely possible, it's not worth making an appointment, then let them tell you if it's worth coming in. Good luck!

Re: Huntington Townhouse / Villa Lombardi's

Also try the Meadow Club in Pt. Jefferson. That is more in your price range. Don't forgot to add 18-20% service charge and then 8.5% on top of that for your final price. $50 per person comes out to almost $64 per person.

The Meadow Club is a GREAT choice. My sister got married there, and you can choose different menu packages at different prcies. The food is also great!!!
