So we just talked to the Hyatt about reserving rooms. We got a pretty good rate ($151) but they want us to guarantee 10 of the rooms. This makes me nervous because a lot of the people who are saying they want rooms are friends who live locally and could end up cancelling. Did anyone else use them and did you have to guarantee rooms?

Re: Hyatt Windwatch
We used them....we had alot of locals stay for 2 reasons...1-we had a shuttle..so ppl were able to go and enjoy yet drink and not worry about driving! 2-It was $116 a night...and everyone was thrilled w/ that price! Also I worked w/ Heather at the Hyatt...she told me 10 rooms....but after telling her that I dont know if we will get that she talked to her mgr. and got it down to 8 rooms!

Re: Hyatt Windwatch
What about either the Sheraton or Holiday Inn Express.
We were told $114 at the Sheraton in Hauppauge. I know the Holiday Inn is pretty good as well though we didn't price them out. We didn't go with them since its much further out and my parents wanted one of the larger chains.

That's what they told us and we decided no to do it. I don't want to have to pay for unbooked rooms on top of everything else.
