Hypothyroid

Those of you who have it or have just been diagnoisised:

Have you noticed:

1) That your temper is worse (or is it wedding stress can't tell)

2) That you are more emotional

3) That you are still fatigued

4) a change in your sex drive

????

I am experiencing all of this

Re: Hypothyroid

A lot of it could be wedding stress and that you didn't walk tonight LOL - how are you feeling btw?

My girlfriend's sister has this......I'll have to check with her in the morning for you.

Re: Hypothyroid

The guilt Lori-- only Mom's are supposed to do that. I just FMed you. I started feeling better right around 7 (psychosmatic or what) but I was nervous that walking on the boardwalk would start it again, plus I have had vertigo on and off all day (can I blame the boat last night--lol). I am there tomorrow if you all are?

Re: Hypothyroid

1) That your temper is worse (or is it wedding stress can't tell) I've noticed my PMS is WORSE! I get so mad it's practically RAGE! I scare myself!

2) That you are more emotional Not so much emotional where I'm crying, but I find I feel depressed a lot, but it soon goes away

3) That you are still fatigued I'm ALWAYS tired

4) a change in your sex drive I never thought of this. A lot of medications have this effect on some people.

Re: Hypothyroid

I agree with Alina - my OB-GYN switched my BCP and those are the exact symptoms/reactions I have been having

Re: Hypothyroid

I have been taking synthriod for hypothyriod for a little over a year, and while some symptions have improved (weight loss, less hair falling out) I still have some of the others that you mentioned. I dont know about my temper, but I find that I get more upset about stupid things that I never did before, I am not too emotional with crying, but sometimes get depressed but nothing serious, it always passes, and I am still always tired!....As for sex drive I never thought of this really, but it could also be affected.....

Re: Hypothyroid

Swags, I was diagnosed with hypothyroid about 3 months ago, and just had my Synthroid increase to 50 micrograms from 25, because after 3 months on 25 micrograms, my test came back worse! Ugh.

I think the whole thyroid thing can have lots of effects on mood, and of course, energy. Def. tell you doctor about it.

I was at first kind of jittery on synthroid, but am now tired again. Maybe it takes a while to adjust, and for your doctor to find the right amount for you.

Re: Hypothyroid

I am on 100mcgs already! My first test was a 48.28 10x over the limit a week later I was 30.37. I just went in on Thursday for another. I am waiting for the results.

I wish I could say it was the BCP, I have been on the same ones for months if not a year or two. I will talk to the doctor when my new results come in.
