I just got engaged 2 weeks ago and been so dreamy all this time. Now everyone tells me to start planning if I want to pull it off next September. I've been reading all your posts and all of you seem so nice and helpfull. So what is the first wedding related thing you did after you got engaged?

The first thing we did was book the hall, than the photographer. I made the mistake of trying to do too much too soon ( I was so excited!), and I almot drove myself crazy. I would say start looking soon, so you'll have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the process.

Buy a wedding planner to keep all your pics and notes. That's what I did.

As the others said hall and church (if you are going to be married in a church) first. Then maybe a little breather, and then onto something else!!

Welcome to the boards. The first thing I did was call EVERYONE. Then I bought several bridal magazines. We booked the reception the following month and then the band.
