I AM FUMING!!!

I just have to vent this! My FMIL is a pain in the @ss!! She lives 4 hours away and is here every other weekend. This weekend she babysat so she stayed somewhere else. She calls up and says that she wants to stop by to say goodbye. Ok, I figure, stay 5 - 10 min and leave. NOPE!! She wants coffee. I tell her we have no milk. She asks who's running to the store. It's f-ing pouring out so why don't you take your *** to the store!?! FH acts like an @ss sometimes around his mommy bc she is always up in everyones business. He starts criticizing me in front of her so I said- why do you act like an @ss when your mother comes over? And I left the room. Now I hear them whispering.

Two weeks ago she was here and jokingly made a comment about my mother's weight. I don't know why but I just hate this woman!

Wow, sorry about that one. I know my FMIL can be nasty about weight issues too. She hasn't dared said it to my face, but she loves to use the word FAT when describing other people. I can only imagine what is said behind my back.

I am so sorry that you have to go through this. I am glad that you said something to your FH. I would totally let him know that you don't appreciate the fact that you heard them wispering and if your FMIL has something to say to say about you, she should say it to your face. She should not use your FH against you (not sure if this is exactly the caase......but she should know the difference between right and wrong). Many for you!!!!

Sorry to hear that she's a pain Nic!! This makes me think of the episode of Everybody loves Raymond....where Ray is talking about the radius of how far away your parents should live from you......they shouldn't be so close that they'll be over all the time, and they shouldn't be so far that when they do come they have to stay over.......but at least your FMIL is 4 hours away!! Mine is 2 BLOCKS away!!!!! what were we thinking when we moved here?
