...and it looks like it got run over by a truck!!!! The edges are completely banged up, and even the RSVP envelope INSIDE got f-cked up!! How on earth could that happen?!?!?!?

They also were NOT hand-cancelled like the woman said they would be, but I don't think just the machine would f-ck this up so bad!

Ughhh now I hope not all of them got so mangled!! I am so mad!!!!!!!!!

oh no! this (the tire marks) happened to about 75% of ours bc DH didnt to ask them to hand cancel them. just try to keep things in perspective...i might be in the minority here but of all the things that can go wrong, this isnt the worst - its just an envelope. we tried to keep a sense of humor about it (to prevent me from totally flipping out.)

Thats awful I'd be pissed off to. You wonder did the guests invitations look the same maybe not. That would really iritate me too. Hopefully they all didn't look like that. I'm sorry

In Valley Stream I watched the woman hand-cancel for me.

I don't know where you are so....They have the aparatus under the desk and should be able to do them at any Post Office -- oh unless you have like 300 invitations -- I only had about 60. Maybe if you take small bunches in various trips...

How awesome!!!!! Are they yesses?? Our responses are going to my parent's house... people told me they mailed em, so i bet my mom will start getting em tomorrow!! Lord help the people who don't send it in a timely manner LOL

Are you handling the responses at all, or are you leaving it to mom? It's such a cool feeling receiving them. I just wish more would come at a time. It feels like they're coming along slowly. 2-3/day will be past the due date!

Don't ask LOL Matthew set up a database for our guest list and info, so my mom can just log in and click whether they are coming or not. Matthew and I can then log in to check out the progress whenever we want to! Totally geeky, yet totally helpful!!

Ok ladies, ready for the inside scoop?? My fh works for the post office!!! Hand stamping does work, but only through your post office.. it should not have to go through machines, but sometimes, especially if it gets attached to another piece of mail, it will go through accidentily and get totally mangled. It's unfortuante, but it happens a lot, and it's usually just the machines not careless mailmen ( I should hope!!). Chins up!! Since you hand canceled most should arrive in near perfect conditions!
