Hey ladies! Well I just came home from Davids Bridal. I did end up getting a fuller slip- but it doesnt poof out THAT much- just more at the hips.

The reason why I am upset is because I had a really bad experience today. So I go in to exchange my slip and the lady looks at my pics so I explain to her i need a fuller one blah blah blah and she goes to me 'well can i be honest with you? I dont like the dress on you- I think it targets the tummy area too much which is somethng you might want to cover up and then she goes you should look at other dresses so im like 'no its OK i love this dress this is the dress i fell in love with' and she goes its a beautiful dress- looks good on the thinner girls but for you I just think you may want to try a different style.... At this point i wanted to burst out crying because I tend to be very sensitive ( umm hello which girl isnt!) so i just go 'Id like to see the fuller slip please and then ill make my decision' so she gives me a fuller slip and I try it on and im all happy again so of course she has to burst my bubble and say oh yea it looks good but i still think style xyzwill look nicer. I just ignored her and said ill take this slip instead.....

I feel terrible though ladies as much as I dont want to listen to her Im pretty proud of myself I lose 26 lbs so far and counting...... I am attaching pics please let me know the truth. Do you think the dress is not good for my body type?

wow she has some balls on her....ok yes that dress targets the stomach area, but the majority of dresses target the stomach/chest area Especially ballgowns...i think you look beautiful and i think if you fell in love with this dress dont let some B**** tell you otherwise or make you feel bad!you should be soooo proud of yourself losing that much weight!!!ignore her, and speak to the manager and tell them you are dissatisfied because their salesperson is an***** ugh i can go on and on...u look great, dont worry about that lady!!!!

Without commenting on the rudeness of the sales lady let me say that if you feel beautiful in the dress it does not matter what anyone else thinks.
All of us want to walk down the aisle feeling beautiful and confident. We want to radiate our happiness; from the pics and your obvious BIG BEAUTIFUL SMILE it it is clear to me that this dress does that for you.
You look great and dont second guess what you feel instinctively!.
If you decide you want to lose more weight you have a year...if not, you will still be an amazing bride.

I couldn't agree more!!!

Uh ewwwwwwww............tell the sales lady to go eff off!!!!!! That is so not true what she said about you! You look beautiful! I agree with what you FH said that she was probably just looking for comission!

The woman at Davids Bridal is stupid. I think you the dress looks beautiful on you. Im curious to know if its the same woman that helped me. there was 1 dress I wanted to try on and she said 'Its not made for my body type'. pretty ballsy and I told her I didnt care and I wanted to try it on anyway.

Oh Athena!! I'm so sorry to hear that evil witch was speaking to you that way!! That is no way to handle business!! DEFINITELY call and complain!!! As far as your dress - I think it looks beautiful on you. In response to the slip - if you are trying to make it poof out on the bottom and not the hips I know akaMrsT had something similar and I think she had a hoop skirt and it made such a difference - I don't know if thats something you might want to do if you are still not happy with the poofiness of the skirt?

Oh my goodness, you look beautiful!! I would definitely NOT listen to that woman! You should definitely be proud of your accompishment of losing all that weight! Plus, if you're going to be losing more weight, the dress will also need to be altered! So any 'invisible tummy' this woman is talking about would definitely NOT be there anyway! Don't let anyone get you down-- you look amazing!

I think you look fantastic. It's gorgeous on you. That sales lady should really be fired. That's just rude and not what she's there for. I'm sorry she upset you but don't let it bring you down. Stick with it - this is the dress you fell in love with.
