Hey ladies! Well I just came home from Davids Bridal. I did end up getting a fuller slip- but it doesnt poof out THAT much- just more at the hips.
The reason why I am upset is because I had a really bad experience today. So I go in to exchange my slip and the lady looks at my pics so I explain to her i need a fuller one blah blah blah and she goes to me 'well can i be honest with you? I dont like the dress on you- I think it targets the tummy area too much which is somethng you might want to cover up and then she goes you should look at other dresses so im like 'no its OK i love this dress this is the dress i fell in love with' and she goes its a beautiful dress- looks good on the thinner girls but for you I just think you may want to try a different style.... At this point i wanted to burst out crying because I tend to be very sensitive ( umm hello which girl isnt!) so i just go 'Id like to see the fuller slip please and then ill make my decision' so she gives me a fuller slip and I try it on and im all happy again so of course she has to burst my bubble and say oh yea it looks good but i still think style xyzwill look nicer. I just ignored her and said ill take this slip instead.....
I feel terrible though ladies as much as I dont want to listen to her Im pretty proud of myself I lose 26 lbs so far and counting...... I am attaching pics please let me know the truth. Do you think the dress is not good for my body type?

Without commenting on the rudeness of the sales lady let me say that if you feel beautiful in the dress it does not matter what anyone else thinks. All of us want to walk down the aisle feeling beautiful and confident. We want to radiate our happiness; from the pics and your obvious BIG BEAUTIFUL SMILE it it is clear to me that this dress does that for you. You look great and dont second guess what you feel instinctively!. If you decide you want to lose more weight you have a year...if not, you will still be an amazing bride.

OK so I would call and speak to her manager and get her fired!! That is no way to talk to anyone. I am sorry you had to deal with such rudeness. I think you look very pretty in the dress so dont let someone hurt your feelings like that,

thanks ladies as much as i want to cry right now im not- shes not going to get me down- FH and my dad think she was just trying to make me order another dress so she can make commision off of me....

that women is soooo rude!!!!! dont listen to anything she says, dont let her get to you!! the dress is beautiful and you look beautiful in it if that the dress tou love dont let anyone tell you different! i would definately complain to the manager

That is the most terrible thing to say to someone.. Especially a blushing bride (which we call all tell from your glorious smile in your picture ) God bless you for being a woman and not out right jumpint over the counter and beating the crap out of her.. Some people are just nasty..
I think you look gorgeous.. either slip works on that dress.. you know I am a fan of pickups!!! You are going to be a stunning bride and congrats on the 26lb weight loss.. that's quite an accomplishment!!!

You look wonderful just the way you are!! You don't need to change a darn thing. The only suggestion that I have is make and keep your self happy. There is no reliving that day. Make it your best memory and don't let someone like that ruin it...

You are beautiful and you look beautiful. Some people get off by bringing others down and that is just a reflection of how they feel about themselves. I would definately let the managerment know, because it would be so unfortunate if this person continues to make such a negative influence on others. Your wedding day and everything surrounding it should make you happier than ever - we don't need people like that who are only interested in spoiling our day.

What a tool that lady was!! I hope you got her name... call davids (and maybe corporate if they have one) and report her. Thats very disrespectful You look gorgeous in that gown.. don't let what one bratty saleslady said ruin your day (and all the time leading up to it)

Athena Let me start off by saying, that you look BEAUTIFUL in that Dress! IMO I think this woman needs to be fired. I agree with what your FI and Dad said, she was probably looking to make commision off you, but I would def ask to speak with an manager and get her butt Fired.

You are absolutely glowing in your pictures! People are so horrible and your dad is probably right - she was probably being selfish and only wanted to make more money. You look amazing and yes - you should put her name on this website and we should all call and complain about her rudeness!!!!
Congrats on losing 26 pounds - I only hope I will achieve that over the next year!!!
