My Mom asked me to call the Huntington Hilton (where we have our room block) and make reservations for us for the night before the wedding (we're getting ready there).
I call and asked them if it would be a problem if we had a dog in the junior suite. They inform me that THEY ARE NO LONG A PET FRIENDLY HOTEL.
what?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I'm like, 'Are you kidding?! That's why we booked with you!! Why didn't I get any notification??'
The man was very apologetic and transferred me to the head sales rep who was in a meeting, so I got her voicemail.
I am SEETHING! WTH am I going to do?? The family dog is diabetic and needs shots twice a day. There's no way we can leave him at home!!
I don't know what to do. You think they'll make an exception for my dog?? He's good I promise! Ugh
***********************UPDATE!*********************** As I was hoping, they are allowing me to bring my dog! The woman on the phone was very sweet and there was no trouble at all. She is reserving some rooms for me as we speak! YAY!
Thank you all so much for your help! I was almost in tears because of how quickly you ladies were willing to help me take care of Max. I love you guys so much!

print it out and show it to the manager when you talk to them.......if not, telll them you want to get money to apply towards keeping him at a vet for the 2 days since you booked under the conditions that THEY ALLOWED PETS, as per their advertisement on their website.

oh Becca DEFINITELY fight this. Chewbaby is also special needs so we don't ever board him anywhere, he always stays with FILs so for the wedding I dunno what the plan is. You booked based on pet-friendliness and it says so online and they best be honoring that! I'm very good at getting this sort of thing worked out so if you need any help I'm here. Also, I know Gina offered too but I am also putting me and FH out there as possible dog-sitters, like I said I have a special needs dog and am VERY familiar with the work associated so I have no problem taking that on. BUT I'm confident you'll be able to get them to bend on it!!

what the flip?!! you need to be 'grandfathered' in or something....an exception must be made, especially if your pet is sick. i would insist on speaking to upper management, do not give up.

Becca did you sign a contract with them??? If so look it over and make sure it doesnt state it anywhere on the contract that they do not allow dogs..cause in that case you can really stick it to them if there is not notation of them saying that anywhere and they have it on their website!!:)

Thats awful- I'd be so upset, especially since your dog needs to be there for medical reasons. I hope they let you keep him there. Its one night- will it relaly hurt them that much!?

If not.. I have a great service that I use (already booked them for my wedding day) They do anything.. (they're even bringing my babies to the venue for pictures!) They will give meds..spend time, hang out and play with.. they come as many times as you want.
So while it's not what you want.. there is an option.
