I am in process of doing my albums and before I do it I requested a CD from them....I wanted to see ALL my proofs in case they missed nice pictures...
Well they missed a bunch !!! I got 2 CDs from them with over 3,000 proofs on them!!! they only printed about 1000 for me....well, the pictures on the CD are gorgeous !! they missed many great shots....
My advice to all of you, make sure you see all of your pictures before you do your albums!!!

I'm with you, Laur!! I did ask them to go back and try and find more of certain shots that I thought my proofs were lacking, so I'm hoping a CD wouldn't uncover a whole other set of proofs....hmmmm...

Well, it did for me!!! They printed a lot and I mean a lot of church pictures for us and I was missing a lot from the reception.....so I went back to the DVDs and uncovered great shots of my guests and me & DH at the reception..shots that I can use for my albums!!! also, they missed a lot of great shots of us in the gardens, just me & DH which are beautiful!!!! instead they printed about 40 veil shots (the ones with the veil over our faces)...come on, how many of those do I need???
Now I have to go through my printed pictures and the unprinted ones to do my albums.....which will be a pain in the butt....

Oh jeez, I am going to have to talk to DH about this now.. we have all our proofs selected for the album, I don't want to go crazy over it, but I don't want to miss some good ones!
ETS: We have in our contract to get the CD at the end of the job, but I don't want to kick myself for not getting it earlier.

I just called Duet and ordered my CD as well. Sue said the policy has changed so they are offering the CD now. I am glad I haven't ordered my album yet! Now maybe I will have some new pics for the album!
Great to hear. I only had around 600 pictures printed and I would love to see the ones that they didn't print before I choose my album. I understand that there were a lot of duplicates but I bet there were ones I never saw that I may like.

Whoa, whoa, whoa~ Wait a minute!! You mean we can have the other pictures that they didn't print out???? I asked them originally when I picked up my proofs if there was a way that I could get a CD of ALL of the pictures & they said that I could get a CD of all the ones that I had printed out already. That didn't make sense to me becuause I really didn't need a CD if I had the proofs, but that I was just curious to see all of them even if they weren't 'album quality' proofs.
What should I do? Email them & ask for a CD of every picture that was taken??? OMG! I will be so ridiculously happy if I can get a CD of ALL of my pics!!! It's been over 6 months, and I still can't decide on 60 pics for our album.
Should I email them or just call them??
ETA: Nevermind, I just called them & they said it would be ready in 2 weeks!!!
I love you girls!!!! You're awesome! You have no idea how this just made my day!!!!

I already ordered my album, but havent gotten the cd. i think if i had the cd i might never have been able to pick, bc there were so many that i already loved. if there are more on the cd then ill have even better memories., try to think positive.

I just picked up my 3 cds yesterday, thanks to you!! I can't imagine why they wouldn't have printed out some of these shots. One of my main concerns was that I specifically asked for a lot of pics of all the little kids at our wedding. I only got back a handful. Now, I get the cd & there's plenty that I love!! Don't get me wrong. I loved our photographers (Jay & Danny), but I think once the day is over, it's out of their hands & into the ones who do the editing. I just wish I would've gotten the CD from the start.
I even called & asked them to please see if they missed any of my little FGs. They said they only had 1 other pic. Well, here are only a few of the ones that were on the CD and not printed out.
