I am mad - Duet mentioned

I am in process of doing my albums and before I do it I requested a CD from them....I wanted to see ALL my proofs in case they missed nice pictures...

Well they missed a bunch !!! I got 2 CDs from them with over 3,000 proofs on them!!! they only printed about 1000 for me....well, the pictures on the CD are gorgeous !! they missed many great shots....

My advice to all of you, make sure you see all of your pictures before you do your albums!!!

Thats retarded in my opinion...why would they do that??? Are they trying to save $$ by not printing ALL of them??? I dont get it....but Im glad you got to see them all before you did your albums...for so much $$$ you better get to see them all.

Is it stipulated in your contract that they will only print X number of proofs?

Thank God you had a chance to see the rest of the proofs.

I think you should bring this to a higher authority there and tell them you want to do your albums over, including those proofs.

I am glad you got to get the other proofs! I would see if you could redo your albums & include some of the 'new found' proofs.

On a side note, it is great that you found pictures you really like!

i agree with you 110%!!

i was so upset w/ my pics when i got them - they were beautiful - but i felt like they were missing so many guests and requested the CD immediately! well they sent it asap - and just to prove how beautiful - EVERY PROOF POSTED IN MY ALBUM WAS OFF THE NEGATIVE CD I DID NOT GET A PRINT OF IT!!

so unfair!

This is just bananas, I couldn't believe it when Tricia told me this.

At least you got to see the other pictures, sorry you had to go thru the last several months disappointed.

You should make them stop the process and designing of the album immediately if u are disastified. On top of that, for your big portrait, if you wanted a newer picture [the one they originally missed] have them re-print it.
I wouldn't let them get away with it!

Its so weird that u mention this, because when I got my proofs back, I thought FOR SURE there were some pix that were missing, and Patken told me that if they are not in the proof album, it could have been that our eyes were closed, and they didnt even bother to print it. I won't have my proofs on a cd for a while, so I'm not sure if it will happen. But if it does, I'll sure as heck make them make good for it!

Good luck & let us know how it turns out! DEFINITLEY stop the album designing in the meantime!

Thats so INSANE how they ALSO make you wait 6 months to a year for ur proofs on a cd! Now I'm wondering if it happened to me. I could swear there were pix missing!

I didn't start my albums yet so they are lucky...otherwise I would have killed them if I finished my albums and then I would see all those unprinted pictures..

what really gets me is that I paid $20 to get the pictures online to be able to see all of my proofs but they only put the ones printed online and not the ones on my CD...what was the point then???

anyway, thanks for listening...

I am getting my video next week and I am really hoping I love it...we shall see... if not there will be more Drama with them....

that is by far the most retarded thing i have heard..
if they dont give it to you can you maybe make your own album with the pics you like? just a suggestion. i know you want those in your reg album but if it cant be done maybe you can do that

i wonder if any of the related posts are mine-bc i wrote about this a couple of months ago!!!!!!!!!!!!

i was very dissapointed that they didnt give a cd of ALL the proofs-i was happy w/my pictures and i wanted to see EVERYTHING b4 i picked anything, bc everyones opinionn is diff.

so it took some time but i got a cd of all my proofs-

I just called Duet and ordered my CD as well. Sue said the policy has changed so they are offering the CD now. I am glad I haven't ordered my album yet! Now maybe I will have some new pics for the album!

I totally agree! I also used Patken and they just told me I have to wait 6 months to a year to get my cd (that I have to pay $100 for ).

hmm.... I love my proofs, but what if there are better ones? Maybe I should ask for the CD before doing my albums? I had a hard enough time already, I don't want to make it harder now though.

I ordered the CD and there were many pictures on it that they did not print that were gorgeous.

That said, there were also a ton of duplicates or pictures with eyes closed, mouths open, etc.

I am happy I got the CD but truthfully it was a PITA going through all the pictures. I can understand why Duet only prints a certain number.
