I am really not a big drinker. I am a little worried because I do not drink champagne and that is usually what you toast with. Do you think I can subsitute the champagne with another drink? If so, any suggestions?
TIA

Would you not even take a little sip, just for the toast? You can even put water in your glass, no one will know the difference.

Unfortunately I have bad gag reflexes, so if I smell or drink anything that I do not like I start to get sick. That is why this is such a problem for me.

Try Verdi sparkling champagne. It's made in Italy. I absolutely hate champagne, but my RH is serving this and we tasted it at our food tasting and it was to die for! It tastes so fruity you would never know it's champagne if you weren't told.

Get some sparkling cider (non-alcoholic). You can find it at any health food store/Trader Joes/Whole Foods.... its yummy!

Great idea! I am going to ask my hall if we could have this.

Prosecco is also a good choice. It's a fruity Italian sparkling wine. It's probabaly very similar to that Verdi stuff

Re: I am not a big drinker................
I really dislike the taste of champagne as well so I am only going to sip it if that. FH wants to have the champagne so I said that's fine.
