I am not upset anymore!!!!

I went for an hour of dancing lesson..WHich we were really pathetic but eventually got the hang of the one step that took us an hour to learn. We went out to dinner and by the time we got home...WE FORGOT EVERYTHING>>

I AM SOO UPSET I WANT TO CRY
An hour wasted!

UDATE: I remembered the steps this morning
I can't wait to practice TONIGHT!!!

no actually we went with my future step mother in law and FFIL...
THey paid for it and we are going back next tue BUT TIm and i really wanted to practice during the week. The FFIL took us out to dinner and by the time we got back...GONE

I am going to be so ashamed to go back and say we forgot everything...there was a catchy phrase to the steps so i am thinking that i will call and ask what it was. Hopefully that will bring back the steps

It's so cute he's taking dance lessons. Jonn would rather burn in h e l l than take lessons...lol

What type of dance did you learn? Some are harder than others.

it was really just the beginning of a swing like step..
It wasn't that hard but doing together was..

You're both going to learn different steps at different paces, it sucks I know, but soon enough it will all click & you guys will be swingin' away!
PS- try it w/ music @ home, it always helps me.

keep practicing...it took us 2 months of classes to finally stop saying 'you are doing that wrong', 'ouch, my foot' etc.

now we have a bast!

well we came home and wanted to practice and can't remember the exact stepping..
FH is like..'IT IS THIS WAY'
And i am like 'NO YOU ARE WRONG IT IS THIS WAY!'

and i know deep down we are both wrong

I felt like that when we had to put on dance programs with the students at school. I would work something out with them and then when I wanted to practice at home I would forget what we had done. I got desperate and started writing notes to myself desribing the steps and it helped. Count the beats for everything you do and write as much as you can. Left foot crosses front, hop on right, that kind of thing. It gets easy once you start.

Personally i am shock my FH is actually doing it..it was a lot of fun and i think he enjoyed it more than he is letting on

We are going tomorrow night, we weren't going to, we were going to skip a week, but FI is having trouble when the step we learned last week and wants to be videotaped.

Who was your instructor?

Oct.2004 I was there tonight when you were there. We we working with Joe. You guys were looking good. It was nice that your FIL's came with you. Next time you should ask Kristen to video tape you. It will get much easier as you go!
