Re: I Am Ordering My Invitations...
honestly, i don't think the grey writing goes with the gold ends on the scroll, and its hard to read.
and you should never mention gifts in any way on a wedding invitations. you are supposed to be inviting them to be a guest at your wedding, not for the gifts.

Re: I Am Ordering My Invitations...
Is there a way to arrrange the lettering so that it makes it stand out more? It looks like it will be a beautiful invite but, I think some line spacing and diffrent size font would make it visually more appealing.
I think the scroll is a great idea.

Take out the part about monetary gifts at the end. As another poster said, there should never be any mention of gifts expected or requested on invitations.

I would remove monetary gifts from it. It's also spelled wrong. I really like the scrolls though!

This is why I love my LIW ladies you all are so honest. I didn't wan't to put that either but my crazy sis was like you don't want no gifts because you got so much from the engagement party, any way I am going to take it out and I sent the wrong one this is the correct one. Thank you ladies again.

I agree also, but i also think it's a little hard to read, the wording is great but i was straining to read the silver writing.

Re: I Am Ordering My Invitations...
I love the silver caps on the ends and I think the invitation should be resized so the text stands out more.
I also love how you included your children's names
But I would take out the line about monetary gifts like others said.

honestly it is very rare that people actually bring gifts to a wedding anymore. they usually bring $$.

Re: I Am Ordering My Invitations...
Definitely remove the reference to monetary gifts.
Make the font darker to increase contrast between the background and to make it easier to read.
It shouldn't be in title case. Don't capitalize each word. Spell out 'and,' 'Avenue,' and the state. Make the date, time, and location a slightly larger font than the portions about your kids preceding it. It doesn't have to be as large as your names, but enough to distinguish it for ease of reading.
'Because you have shared in our lives by your friendship and love
O. Neal Williams [Is 'O' an initial? If so, leave it out. No initials on the invitation.]
and
Stephenie Stevenson
together with our children Brian, Ashley, Dyamond, and Juell invite you to share in the joy when we exchange marriage vows and begin our new life together
Tuesday, the first of July two thousand and eight at two o'clock in the afternoon
Hope Christian Center 369 New Lotts Avenue Brooklyn, New York [insert comma]'
Good luck!

I agree with everything above, except for leaving out 'in the afternoon'. I've just always seen that written. You can always tell from the hour what time of day it is. For example, weddings that start at 5 are clearly 5 o'clock in the evening. I'm pretty sure no one ever thinks that it's at 5am. I think it is just more formal to write out the time of day next to the hour.
Edit: Love the scroll idea by the way. It's a different kind of invitation. Makes it stand out nicely. And I think it is nice that you've included your children's names on it as well.

You're right. I looked it up afterward and the reference to afternoon should be included. Thanks for the correction and I'll edit my post.
