I am really pissed off

So i called my photographer last week because his website wasnt working (he is jersey) and he said he is having problems with the server. So I called last week and said I wanted to send my deposit and meet with him no answer. Today I get an email saying that they went out of business at the end of FEBRUARY!!!!! Why didnt he call me? And he cannot give me the whole deposit back now only half he will give me the rest in July. Now I need to search for a new photographer. Any suggestions..... thanks

wow! im sorry you need to go through the headache and stress now of finding a new photographer

But i know you will find someone b/c there are so many amazing photographers and you are bound to fall in love with someone elses work. Good Luck

There are lots of great photographers on this site- those that have been mentioned in this thread....

I'd also recommend TimeXposures (vendor on here)...give Jonathan a call, you never know, he could be available. He's so affordable and just awesome!!!

aww, i'm so sorry

contact the BBB as soon as possible

check out the vendors page and just start calling and making appointments with as many photogs as you can (see if they are available over the phone and if they are go in and check them out)... at this point, just do whatever you can to find someone that you like who is available.

I totally agree! There is no reason why you shouldnt get ALL your money back...its not ur fault they went out of buisness...W T F is that about!! and if you didnt call, when were they planning to tell you that they went out of buisness

We're using Silvefox. They have several photogs working there so maybe someone is abvailable. They are pretty reasonable too.
Girls on the boards here recommend Velvet, ADA, Duet, 12th night alot.

I don't think you can do anything about it....

I'm fairly sure the BBB won't be able to do anything if he's under bankrupcy protection.... I am going through a similar situation with a store... I frankly would be shocked at this point if I get my stuff or $ at this point...

Definitely call the BBB and any of the local news channels what will hear your story. That is outrageous!
