I have 7 months and I feel like we will never have enough money. We are trying to pay cash for everything because we really want to put all of our gift money toward a house but it is getting really hard.
My fh is a mortgage broker and for those of you who know the market is HORRIBLE right now. My poor fh is working sooooo hard and making less than half of what he used to so now alot of the financial pressure is falling on me. I make good money, but I am a teacher so its not that great.
Last night my fh couldn't even sleep, he stayed up all night stressing and worrying. I hate seeing him like this, it makes me want to cry and I know there really is nothing I can do to help.
Sorry for rambling but I am just really feeling down today, why can't things just be easy, or why can't I have a dad to pay for my wedding.
Anyone else feeling like this, please say soemone is and we are not the only broke people.

Do what you can and realize your limits...it sounds easy but it's very hard. DIY anything that you can....ask for help from us girls - i'd be happy to help with anything you need! Just FM me...

it's horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! his salary is a joke....maybe 200 a week and then commission....so it's not easy..
i'm making my own program & would be VERY happy to send you the template if it would help at all....i wasn't going to do them - but once i figure out this template, i'm doing them....
at the moment, we have $3,300 and by january 20th, we have to have $6,977....believe me - i feel your pain!!!!!!!

we're in the same boat... i can barely work right now with school and wont be working full time prior to the wedding so this is all on FH shoulders i could only imagine how he's feeling we're trying to the same as you pay cash for everythying and use gift $ for a house but right now with 6 months to go and a 20k balance im pretty sure were going to have to either barrow or take out a loan. Fhs is working so much overtime that i last saw him sat. night and wont see him again till monday so im with you !

If it makes you feel even a tiny bit better, I am completely stressed as well...it has consumed me recently...I believe it will all work out, but waiting until it does is too much stress

Wow, you are much closer to your wedding than me so I could only imagine the stress you are feeling right now. Is fh the type to stress also or is it mostly you?
I feel like my fh keeps it all inside and he actually makes himself physically sick and sleep deprived

I am sooo with you guys. I was the one to have the breakdown last night. I am constantly adding in my head how much money is in the bank and how much more we need. I am taking on anything extra that I possibly can at work and that is causing stress too. I am also the one in my relationship that makes more money.
I truly dont know where it is going to come from.
I feel guilty buying anything and get upset to think that I may not have everything that I want for my wedding.
You are not alone in this.

that's ME....i make myself sick & sleep deprived....dave lets EVERYTHING roll off of him....seriously - he's only stressed when he's watching football & that's not a joke...if his team is losing - that's the ONLY time i've ever seen him angry....really..
i'm currently on paxil (for anxiety) & i have xanax for any times of real horrible worry....which would be every day....but i'm not taking it every day...i wish i could - but i'm not.
thanks for listening....sorry to vent on your thread...but i know what you and he are going through so much right now.

aw i'm sorry jess, and i know exactly how you feel...fh is in the same business (as you know) and recently his branch closed! so now there trying to find a spot for him..its really scary..and hes making a lot less money than he used to

i really cant imagine and then i feel slefish that im not helping by working more but i just cant do it with the demands of school. but then i have to sit back and say 'he wanted a big wedding and all the glitz that goes with it (which he really did i would have goten on a plane and got married MONTHS AGO) and im getting a education and a GREAT career in a little over a year so its all worth it in the long run'

Same boat! FH and I both work for commissions and we need another 3K before the wedding so we just asked for cash for the holidays. It ***** when you realize that the time is closing in till the wedding and you are afraid you aren't going to have money to pay your vendors....

yup he was upset that i didnt want the big shabang... then after all the yelling and screaming and crying.. he still got his way.. and dont get my wrong im very excited and THRILLED that he is able to do this by himself and make me very happy BUT i would have saved us 26k and got on a plane to tahiti and got married there and had a GREAT honeymoon and put a down payment on a house instead!
