So we found out yesterday that we are having a boy. I sent an E-mail to my MIL, SILs, & FIL saying that it was a boy and that his name would be:

Aguacate Trujillo Fidel Jake Elwood Commonlastname

I thought it was pretty obvious that it was a joke. Yes, I am Latina, but come on!! Don't you think that's just a TAD too long of a name to be real???? And Aguacate means AVOCADO in Spanish!!! If you didn't know that, Fidel had to clue you in!!

This is the E-mail I get back from my MIL:

You will have to give me a Spanish lesson so I can properly pronounce my
grandson's name. Is it after your Uncle???

NO- I DON'T HAVE AN UNCLE NAMED AVOCADO!!!

And from my SIL:

Now, I am sorry to show my ignorance but how do you pronounce the first name? I know how to say the rest I am just stuck on the first name. Sorry! Also...what is the meaning/history of the names?

Oh God... tears are coming out of my eyes people... I am PIMP!!!

Congratulations! And that is such a funny story. When baby acacado grows up, you'll be able to tell him the story. Print out the emails and put them in a scrapbook for him!!!

BTW you have GREAT IL's b/c mine would NOT respond that way!!! I love the idea though!!! If I could keep a straight face I would do something like that to them next time around
