I know I should be happy my shower is coming up but out of 17 friends invited, 10 can't come.
We are way under what my aunt guaranteed at the restaurant---she even sent invitations out super early so that people could plan ahead....just stinks that so many people are busy on a Sunday afternoon in May....
Just needed to vent....

May and June are those months that people are busy every weekend.

sorry! same thing is happening with my wedding I really dont know why ppl are so suky
just think about how much fun u will have regardless of who is there and who isnt

i had a lot of friends and family that couldnt come either. I was dissappointed at first but once i got there I had a great day and didnt let it bother me. Just enjoy your shower

I was a little sad after my shower this weekend because people who mean a lot to me 'failed me' I want to say. But when I think of the people that were there for me and how hard my mom and my sister worked to make it happen, it brings a smile to my face.
Enjoy your shower with the people that do attend, no matter what!

I know how you feel. My bach party was like that. It was only me and 5 other girls but it was the best TIME EVER!

this happened w my shower too. but try not to focus on it. dont think about it. cuz you cant control anything. just go and enjoy w those that were able to make it

I have one of the girl's showers that can't come the week after my wedding that I planned to come back early from my mini-moon to attend...it makes me feel like an idiot for making FH come back home early!

This happened to me at my shower this weekend too. Out of 40+ ppl that my mom invited only 26 came. I was really sad about it even on the day of because a couple ppl dropped out last minute. But in the end I just like to remind myself that my mom and bridal party worked relly hard and did their best to give me the best shower that they could. Some ppl just s*ck!

yeah, i had issues like this too. i left my bach party early to make my friend's reception...meanwhile she didnt come to my shower or bach party.
it turns out just the timing was really bad (work trips, and preparing for her own party)...so it is what it is.....
do what you think is best.

awwwww sorry to hear!
but there will be so many people there that it will all work out. coming from my shower yesterday, a lot of my friends/family didnt make it, but it was ok! and i still had a blast!

The same thing happened at my shower. Only a couple of my friends ended up coming. At first I was so upset, but my shower ended up being great! Trust me, once you are there you will feel great looking at all the people who DID come, and you won't be worried about those that didn't.

Aww I'm sorry to hear that. It might be nice having a smaller, more intimate crowd though! You'll still have a blast!
