I am sitting here at work crying.....OMG, long....

I am so bored so I am working on my weddding recap. I really suggest that you all consider doing what I did (and am doing) for my wedding. About a month before, I started keeping a journal on the computer and I wrote in it religiously. I included every single time the weather changed (FYI, it was 10 times in 5 days) and all my worries and nervousness. It's amazing to read it now.

I also wrote a small recap of our honeymoon so we would remember it. And the most important is the actual wedding review. I just want to remember everything I felt while it's still fresh in my mind...in a way that our reviews can't capture. I want to record my thoughts, my feelings, everything.

For some reason, I was able to recap everything from the rehearsal dinner to the church rather quickly and easily. But for the last two months, I've been holding off on the reception.

Now I know why... I am right now at the parent dances (which we did in the beginning of the night)...and I am bawling my eyes out writing about how I felt dancing with my dad. I know someday these words will be there for me so I am forcing myself through it.

Of course, I look like a raving lunatic at work right now!

But I can already recommend, if you have the time after the wedding, to try to do this...I already love reading my entries from the week before and I can only assume this will be great in a few years from now! HTH!

Awww...now I'm all teary eyed. Thank you for the advice. FH and I keep a journal with each other kind of recaping what's going on in our lives, holidays, etc. We pass it back between the two of us and wrap it up as a gift on whatever the occasion is and then read it together. I can't wait to include all the wedding stuff into our tradition!

That was so sweet, it sounds like you had a magical day.

That sounds like a wonderful idea!!! It's great that you've been able to re-call all of the thoughts and feelings you had during that time. I think I might start one. Thanks for the advice!!!
