I am so sad though

on Saturday morning we went to the beach, and as I was about to get into the water, I handed dh my ering and wedding band.

long story short, that was the last time I saw them. we are not sure what happened, but think they may have been blown to the far corners of Oahu when we shook the blanket out.

we searched in the sand for about an hour to no avail. I drew a heart in the sand and left them for some old codger with a metal detector to find in a few years....I am particularly devasted about my ering...for sentimental reasons...

Jess...I'm sooo sorry...I lost my engagement ring back in Sept...also in the waters - actually in the ocean in Puerto Rico...

I know how you are feeling right now...its a terrible feeling...and its so hard to understand how you can be upset over losing a material object like a ring - but its the sentimental value that makes it hurt so much...

You are lucky that you have such a clear picture of your ring. I did not and my new one is not exactly like the original. You can have it replicated.

Perhaps you could arrange a ceremony with your officiant again to bless your marriage and your rings when they are replaced?

thanks girls. it feels so weird not having them.

Sabrina, I am sorry you lost yours too.

dh is already talking about replacements...he said he can't have me 'ringless'.

I don't know what to do now though...I just don't think we should spend the money...no we didn't have insurance...never got around to it SO DUMB!
