As I was sitting here earlier I heard all this commotion outside but I ignored it because I was posting here however I got a call and it was Fi so I took the call as we are talking through my back doors I see out the front a fairly young flapping his arms so I hang up and tell Fi cops are outside there were lights .....sorry this is long and I am fighting back tears I see the fire department I ask what is happening it is literally infront of my house they fire men move and I see something on the floor it was my CAT ........she was hit by a car she is currently alive and a emergency vet but I don't know
I am so sorry to wrte this much but I am sooo sad I saved this cat ( Cali) when she was abandoned kitten she is now 8 I know this is not wedding related but I am heartbroken please say a prayer for my lil girl Thanks

Thank you I just called the er vet they told me shi is comfortably resting but shi is on a lot of pain medicine .....I know it seems crazy but I love animals I have 2 ducks 1 dog and three cats .......Cali was my first ever cat

Thank goodness she is okay!!!! The poor thing. Will they be keeping her overnight for observation?
I'm an avid animal lover and have grown up with pets. FH and I have two cats, fish and frogs, and want to get a dog after the wedding. Ducks - wow! My mom has 4 cats and a dog. We're a pretty animal crazy family.

Yes as of now her jaw is fractured and not to be groos but I picked her tooth up off the floor when I got back. Yes i have two ducks trouble and elmo 3 cats Cali simba and corneilus (dont ask ) and bailley the beagle I would love more animals but it is so much work especially the ducks.

Wow - Cali is a lucky girl to have fared so well against a car. Thank goodness for those 9 lives! I wish her the speediest of recoveries!!
I love your pets' names! This is going to sound silly - but, do your ducks go indoors at all? (I've never seen a duck in a house before!) If not, they're okay in the winter? Do they get a little wading pool to swim in? How did they become a part of your family? (Sorry for the questions; I've never known a duck parent before!)
I would adopt more animals now if we had the time/money. My mom would love to live on a farm. One of these days, I hope to devote my time to animal rescue organizations to help make their lives better.

awww...... Hope she is okay. I love pets too , but FI in allergic and I need to find a home for my 10y/o kittie. No one wants her. I might even need to find a home for my pooch cause hes alone all day and night.....very very sad. hope your kittie is okay!

well I called the vet this morning and she is going in for surgery this morning she has a broken jaw and they are going to wire it shut I dont know how she will eat but I assume they will tell me. My ducks live in a house Tim my FI is a union carpenter mechanic ( whatever) andhe built it , it has heat via a heating lamp and a wading pool (lil kiddie pool) it does not freeze and they have a cage that is the size of their house that they play in when we are not home , that is so no other critters get them they do go to vet and are checked reguarly. I have to call the vet @ 11 that is whenCali will be out of surgery. Keep fingers crossed.

Awww...that makes me want to cry! I am so sorry about your kitty. For some reason, when an animal gets hurt, it bothers me more than when a person does. Maybe I am crazy, but I definitely have a soft spot for animals in my heart. I had a rabbit once that got sick and I spent $300 bucks for er surgery and they kept her in a cage next to dogs and cats to RECOVER and they wouldn't let me see her and suprise, suprise..she died shortly afterwards. My poor little baby was probably TERRIFIED of all the barking and noise. Rabbits are very timid animals. I am SO GLAD they allow you to see her...it means so much for their recovery to know they are not abandoned. Good luck!

THANK YOU ALL I wasjust saying that I cried more when Cali got hurt then when I know are hurt I think it has to do with an animal being helpless. It is costing me 1600.00 for this but It is worth it so I'll do with out for a little while
