I am sooo very down need to vent!!! (LONG)

I love FH to death and can't wait for the wedding but I am emotionally and physically exhausted. I can't even get up in the morning anymore. What's more, I am so disappointed in the lack of support we have received from people. We are paying for every bit of this wedding ourselves (which is fine and I knew this going into it) but it is so draining on us. I am not eveN looking for the monetary support, just moral. My bridal shower is planned for August 14th and the invites just went out last week. A lot of people will not be able to come because of the short notice and the fact that many of our guests live out on the island (it is in the city). FH's own mom and sister will not go they do not want to travel into the city. I found out that FH and a couple of my friends hounded my dad and sister about the shower and they would accept no help saying that 'it was being taken care of'. They had never asked me for a shower list or about my registry, FH forced it on them just a few weeks ago through a series of e-mails. My sister (MOH) couldn't even be bothered to make up the invites; my dad did them instead and put her name cause she was too lazy. The Rehearsal Dinner (another one of our expenses) is a messy situation as well. The invites go out soon but FH has started letting people know. He spoke to his father a few weeks ago to which he replied 'I hope you don't need me there.' Apparently he has been so busy with work, he may not be able to go. His mother than will probably not go because she refuses to go anywhere without the father. He also told his sister and she said that her husband and son will definitely be there but could not guarantee herself. She has a two year old and has no babysitter. Another one of my bridesmaids just refuses talk to me anymore cause I think she is jealous. I am just disappointed in a whole bunch of people right now!! I will need someone to go with a fitting with me this weekend (the seamstress wants someone to teach the bustle) and asking my sister or anyone of my friends for a favor is like pulling teeth!! Nobody wants to help me at all!! Anyway, for those patient enough to have read this, thanks for letting me vent. I feel a lot better!!

I am sorry --- I hope you feel better venting but you need some ..and a more supportive team.
Hopefully everything will work out - just remember than with or without them, you are doing what is going to make you happy.

Theres nothing that I can say to make you feel better. I wish I could tell you not to worry about it, but I know its just going to stay in the back of your head.

Please keep faith that this day is about you and your FH. No matter who shows up or who is mad - know that the only important thing is you will be marrying the only person that matters. Whatever happens, dont let it upset your day. Remember that it is THEIR loss, not yours. Enjoy EVERYTHING that you have planned for so long!!!

I also forgot to mention in my whole list of complaints that my FMIL may not even show to the wedding. She doesn't go many places and is anti-social, she also doesn't know what to wear. It would be nice if ONE mom could actually be there to represent (mine is gone) which is why I think I am even more bitter and cranky lately!!

I am so sorry! Sometimes weddings really bring out the worst in people. Try not to let those jelouse people get you down. Have a great time at your shower and you have a fantastic wedding day!!

I am so sorry as well---you would think people would be more supportive--but you just find out the world is filled with weird and strange people. All I can say is be grateful you have your FH by your side, b/c he seems to be helping out every piece he can--Be Grateful for him, as not too many people get the support they need. Things will work out in the end.......Just think of beach and sand and Margaritas......

One of the reasons I feel so bad for you is I am in the same boat except my MOH has been very good to me. So just know you are not alone!!!
