I am totally blowing my diet...

I am totally blowing my diet...

and I feel so horrible about it! Last week I gained one pound but now it's even more. I messed up all week and on the weekend. I ate so much!!!!!! I feel so horrible that I am not even going to my WW meeting tonight. I do not want to be weighed at all! and I don't have my pass that I can use to skip the weigh in. Tomorrow I am putting myself back on! and will be very strict! I am punishing myself for being so bad.

Re: I am totally blowing my diet...

I'm sorry you are off-track. I just joined WW on Thursday and did not do good this weekend at all ... just understanding the whole points system is hard ... so here I am Monday, signed up to WW online to help me track and figure out points.
It's hard, but get on track today and start over, it the best thing to do!

I am getting back on track tomorrow because that is when I always start my ww week off on.

I am going to the gym this week too...

Good for you! I am so clueless about this point system that I went to the supermarket to but a smart ones lunch because I think I figured out my breakfast was 6.5 points and my snack banana was 2, so I bought a 3 point lunch so that I'd have some points left for dinner.

The smart ones meals are pretty good. I buy some of their frozen dinners. The spaghetti marianara is good.

I saw one for Gnocchi's...I have to try that.

I think the gnocchi one is 5 points.

LOL That's what I am not sure of! I'm telling you I am clueless! Today is my first day doing this so it's going to take some time to learn how to break up the points during the day.
I figured for breakfast 5, lunch 5, dinner 5 and then the other 5 as snacks ... But I already blew that with a 6 point breakfast!

bedda!!!!! i gained this week too!!!! 1 lb!!! I went to happy hour and was bad ALL weekend!!!

i started fresh today, am trying not to think about it. am being more conscious about what i'm doing...

you're so close bedda!! you gotta get back on the wagon!!

jan05 bride, it takes a while to adjust to the point system. i think i've pretty much mastered how to keep myself full and eat as often as possible while keeping to my points. don't forget, those flexpoints are there for a reason...or if you have only 4 points left for snacks, eat fruit or pretzels. that'll definitely keep you full!

Thanks. I had a 3 point breakfast this morning so I am happy about that!

Re: I am totally blowing my diet...

Thanks for the encouragement azoodie. As of today I am back on the wagon. I didn't go to my meeting last night. I am going at the end of the week. That I still have 3 days to try to make something up. I am going to the gym on wed too. I must have gained like 2 or 3 more pounds so now I have to be like 3lbs away from goal. I baked a chocolate cake last night with vanilla frosting and sprinkles on top. I was so tempted to cut myself a piece but I held back...the cake is for tonight, we are having company over and even if I have a piece it is going to be the smallest piece ever! I am sticking to my points. I am not even giving myself flex points this week. I don't deserve them after blowing it last week and weekend. I blew my regular points and my flex ones so now I have to be extra good.

It's great to find you all so supportive! Bedda, you'll be OK, you are back on the wagon, come talk to us if you need!

Bedda -

Have you tried the recipie where you take a box of regular cake mix, mix it with a can of diet soda, and bake it like it says to on the box.

It comes out REALLY well, and the points come out a LOT lower - ask your meeting leader about it.

Geez, if I can do it - a more culinary person like yourself should certainly be able to handle it. I'm lucky if I can boil water sometimes!

Re: I am totally blowing my diet...

I heard about the diet coke cake. I might try it this weekend.

Bedda, stop beating up yourself about it. Bc you don't even know if you really gained weight. There have been weeks where i thought gained bc I ate all my AP and FP but ended up loosing. I weigh in tomorrow so we'll see what the scale says.

Re: I am totally blowing my diet...

I will ask the meeting leader on Thursday about that cake mix thing. Sounds interesting though.

princessrose I am no chef in the kitchen! But I am learning one step at a time. I've actually cooked some stuff. But I still have so much more to learn.

Why did I think you were a good cook?

<--- Crazy

Anyway, my personal recommendation is a Pillsbury Devil's food mix with a can/bottle of Diet Creme Soda (I use Boylan's).

I may not be the greatest cook but I have made some edible meals.

Re: I am totally blowing my diet...

OMG I WANT TO TRY THIS!!!!! do you know around how many points it'll be princess???

and good for you bedda!!! i don't think i could bake a cake (with frosting no less!) and resist...but everyone is right...don't beat yourself up or punish yourself. just take it one day at a time...

jan bride i also find it useful to save more points for the meal i like to eat the most points on. for example, i eat big lunches...so i only have 2 points of oatmeal for breakfast and 1 point for fruit...i have another fruit as a snack before lunch...at lunch i have whatever i want. because i eat often during the day, i'm not really hungry at night so i have a small dinner, but i always snack at night. the rold gold chedder twists are soo good...they don't taste like plain pretzels and are only 2 points per serving. i also eat wow doritos, again 2 points a serving. oh and don't forget some 94% fat free popcorns are only 1 point for the whole bag!!! and when it's hot like it's getting now...i get either the smart ones or healthy choice ice creams and they're usually only 2 or three points. one of the smart one fudge bars are only 1 and they're big!

anyways sorry for the long post...i just get excited when i think about food :O/

Just the cake mix and one can/bottle of diet soda - no oil or eggs. Happy Birthday to your Mom - my Mom's b-day is a week from Saturday!

I'm not sure of the pointage, but you can look at the box, find out how many points there are in the WHOLE mix, and divide by the number of servings. Remember, the soda doesn't add any points, so it's you just count the calories from the cake mix.

CAVEAT: I'm not sure how well this cake takes frosting - I've only eaten it as a brownie type of thing.
