I apologize for this mini vent...

Why does it take vendors so long to get back to you, if they even get back to you at all? I don't understand how people operate a business this way, it's very unprofessional.

I was wondering the same thing -- don't they realize that we talk to so many other brides and that word of mouth can ruin a company if enough people have a bad experience with them?

I guess they don't want to make money! I had the same problem. When I was looking for a photographer I called a bunch of places and half of them never called back.

the one I just looked at was an e-mail sent on the 16th! Even if she doesn't have time to answer me she can at least say she's busy but received my e-mail. It is absolutely ridiculous that I have to follow up with the vendors to pay them for their business!

I agree. You just want to shake them and tell them 'do you know the power I have? with one post, I can lose you a LOT of business.' I have definitely canceled appts with vendors when one of us 08ers had a bad exerience with them.... There are so many good vendors out there, if I hear a bad review - good bye.

Actually I e-mailed twelfth night to request the photographer we want and I didn't hear back from them for over a week and I was so pissed because these are people that already have my deposit! Finally, a week later I get an e-mail saying 'I think this is who you're trying to contact (with the website for twelfth night), we sell books'. FH has deemed me the ultimate bridezilla.

I hear you to me if they dont call back they are off my list. I do understand that they are busy but I will not make more then 2 phone calls and then I cut them off. Is that bridezilla or what

hopefully now that you have the correct website , you will hear back from them right away.

well I had just e-mailed the vendor and got mad and wrote this post, she must have read it and realized she hasn't gotten back to me and responded right away, I feel better.

Omigod I felt the same way! If someone didn't get back with me within two- three days, I disregarded them! They lost my business! haha Im super impatient!

do they ever come back with crazy excuses when they finally do contact you? So far I've heard, I've been really sick and just got out of bed and had to cancel appointments and I've been in the hospital, from 2 separate vendors. I'm not sure if I believe these people

I think it is absurd. Honeslty when i deal with people like that, I'd rather not give them my business. How hard is it going to be once you book with them and you need to get in touch with them about something important regarding your day. First impression with vendors, to me any way, is crucial and to me says a lot about how they run their business.
