I Booked My DJ

i met with LI Sound tonight and just LOVED them. their offices were so professional....equipment looked great....they put on a small showcase for us as well. we spoke with Chris (the owner) and he didnt try to sell us anything, the presentation just sold itself. we had another appointment for thursday with another dj and have to cancel cuz we booked li sound on the spot.

he gave us a great deal and hooked us up since we are having a winter wedding. who knew having a wedding in february would be so beneficial?! YaY!

Good question. FM is on my short list as well. Their price is right and they have a lot of good feedback.

well FM was good, but seemed maybe like he was trying a little too hard to impress us, maybe it was the atmosphere also but i felt he was goo dbut maybe not as established or experienced as the 1st company i went to see (tommy's tunes). when i walked into LI Sound i was already impressed with their offices and their presentation of their services. we talked in a room and then he brought us to a studio where everything was set up..we told him some songs we like for our entrance and in 5 minutes he was playing that song announcing us in. he came off very experienced, not over the top, very clean and modern and honest. he didnt sound like a used car salesman. we were nervous about the pricing cuz he seemed pricey but he discounted us so i was able to add things i wanted and didnt think i could afford.

he also knows my hall like the back of his hand and drew me up a diagram of our room down to the windows and doors and where the trees were outside lol

Thanks so much for all the information! I will keep it in mind... I hate vendors who come off smarmy like that.... there's a fine line between salesman and being toolish.

Thanks for the info. Felt the same way after getting off the phone with Captain Arnold. Felt he was trying to impress me way too much and was just a bit cocky. Know he's popular, but just wasn't feeling him. So it continues that you just 'know' when you've found the right vendor. Congrats sweetie!

A big thing with DJs for us is finding someone that has alot of experience in the room I'm in at Fox Hollow. Its laid out where the DJ is off to the side, not right on the dance floor and the speakers have to go by the entrance so I wanna be sure than whoever we use has set up in there before and like you said, knows the place like the back of his hand.

Thats great! I just went to a wedding where they used that DJ, they were really good so you have nothing to worry about !
