I broke my Foot!

Oh no!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep staying positive. Sending good vibes for a super speedy recovery. If they told you 4 weeks you should be fine by your wedding. How are you going to teach?


I sprained my ankle in december teaching tap and I also fractured a bone in my foot, they told me 3 to 4 months and it finally started feeling better in April. So trust the doctors and don't stress.

Thats what makes things worse is that recital is in 3 weeks! I am going to have my other teachers in the studio coveing my classes. All of my recital numbers are done we are just cleaning, I can sit in a chair and do that. I will definately be on crutches for the recital though.

But my focus is to be in good shape for the wedding. That's all that matters!

OMG! Honey Im so sorry.. my mom broke her ankle back in dec (before xmas) and its been rough.. the doc actually told her, you should have broke your foot you would have healed faster... so you will heal fast, Im so sorry this happened to you

Good thing you have enough time before the wedding to heal!

Are you out of work now?

In my sick and twisted mind... I would have disability (fully paid for up to 6 months).... so I'm jealous! because then I could sit home and do non stop wedding planning via phone and internet. OH LALA the work I could get done!

OK my sickness part is over..... I'm sorry. I hope you aren't in any pain. Hopefully you have good meds!

I hurt my foot really bad once and was in a cast with cruches. Once they take the cast off... just be careful because you ancle and all of that area can be a little weak. So you might not want to wear huge heals.

Edit to say that I hurt my ancle not my foot... but either way it might be a little weak so be careful.

I totally agree, I know someone that this happened to, she didnt break her foot but, did get hurt and won her case.
I hope you get better soon.

My mother broke her foot in a supermarket... she broke all the bones straight across. She slipped on a grape in Pathmark.
She tried to sue... and such as my mother's luck... she was told she couldn't do anything because they were filing for bankruptsy. The real messed up part... my mom was a waitress and her foot was soooo severly damaged and broken (it's permanently disfigured) that she can no longer work at any job that requires being on your feet for extended periods of time (such as waitressing) so it even ruined her 'career' and she still couldn't sue.
Hopefully your case will be different. Either way it's best to not focus too much on that aspect becuase it doesn't always work out the way we would hope.
