Ok, so I found 'the dress' almost 2 months ago. I tried it on twice - once with FH (he loves it) and once for FMIL, FSIL and my BF. I loved it both times. I made an appointment to go try it on again this weekend at Macys because its a Demetrios and I plan on using my Mom's employee discount. I know that I love this dress BUT I keep getting really nervous about actually buying it - because once I buy it there is no turning back. I've seen so many of you post that you changed your mind about your dress - and I really don't want that to happen to me. Also, I'm going to be changing the neckline of the dress so I won't know what it looks like until the dress comes in.....so hopefully I like the change
Last night I actually couldnt sleep because I was thinking about it so much and I even had a few nightmares about it. I know I love this dress but then I see other girls with different style dresses that I love - especially trumpet style, it makes me second guess myself. FH says to get the dress, he said he loved me in it, he thinks the dress is hot and he said that I looked like I loved it so much. Ugh I do love it - I just hope I love it in 11 months!
Did this happen to anyone else? Am I crazy?

Not crazy at all... I ordered my dress in August and I had to go back in November b/c I felt in a panic..then i tried it on and loved it even more.

Just relax, so many brides get nervous over 'the dress' however a lot of brides say it didnt happen that way. They found a dress they loved and went for it. If you are not cmfortable ordering it then wait. You could try on a few more gowns and decide what to do. Good luck

Same thing happened to me but it really wasnt all that bad. I ended up buying the first dress I tried on, although I did try a few others afterwards and then ultimately went back to the first. Even though I try not to look at dresses anymore, b/c I know that my personality tends to second guess everything, I do see some dresses on this site that I think are beautiful and that I might have liked to try on. The trick is to keep telling yourself that you know that the dress you picked look FABULOUS on you and although there may be others out there that may have looked nice as well, the one you picked is probably what you would have ended up going with in the end no matter HOW many you tried on. I know for me that I tried on quite a few that looked great, but I could NOT get the one I chose out of my head.
It sounds to me like you really like the dress you have chosen and IMO, it's better to wonder what if about 'other' dresses, than it is to wonder about 'the' dress.

JUST BUY IT!!!!! I bought my dress in May and it will not be in until March (just about 11 months). Trust me, you will be glad to check one more thing off the list and then you will have a million other details to occupy your mind. I know b/c I did the same things with my BM dresses. I am still nervous about the color, but now that the order is placed and done with I feel MUCH better about my choice! Good Luck, if you love it now you will love it in 11 months

that happened to me too. i made my decision very quickly, and when i went to try it on to buy it, i didn't love it as much as the first time, but i stuck with it, (i also didn't feel like looking all over again). i tried the dress on again in the original macy's i found it at, and fell in love all over again. in my case, the lighting at the macy's in manhasset where i ordered my dress is much whiter than the macy's on 34th st, so that's what made the dress look different. when i went for my fitting, i fell i in love with it yet again. your dress is gorgeous!!! don't be nervous, realize it's one more thing done

Of course you're nervous. It's totally understandable, it's a HUGE decision. But I say trust your gut. You loved it when you put it on, FH loved it so go for it. Can you guarantee you'll love it in 11 months? No. But you can't wait 11 months and take that chance. There's no guarantees on anything. I got mine and knew it was the one, but a couple of months later I had to go try it on again because I thought I forgot what it looked like and wasn't sure if I'd still like it...when I put it on I fell love all over again. And you'll feel like that too when it finally comes in and you'll be so happy!!!!

i LOVE the dress, i think its gorgeous, i felt like a bride in it and its within (actually a little below) my budget which is awesome....I guess I'm just nervous because once I buy it its final - and I have to wait so long to wear it!

When i wore the dress i loved it and did not want to take it off.... so i know it was 'the dress' but i think everyone goes through this b/c it is such a big decision and you know that all eyes will be looking at you the whole night, you just want to be perfect! Talk about pressure!

oh boy. I want to tell you to get it, but thats what i did and i wound up selling it and getting a new one. I just feel like i rushed the first time (went back 3 times before i bought it too!) You have a lot of time still (just under a year) so maybe wait it out a couple more weeks if you are unsure. Try on everything...even if it looks ugly on the hanger.....or if its a style you dont love...try them all on and take it from there. JMO. It was not easy to sell my dress for the price i got, i got realllllly lucky!

The same thing happen to me. I went to try on my dress again and now, Some times I wish I would have got a more traditional dress.But the dress that I brought is beautiful and I do love it.

I am in the same position as you--ordered Demetrios and changed the neckline--si I am curious to see what it looks like--but I don't think you have a need to be nervous--all of the gowns are gorgeous!!!!! What style did you pick???

their is a picture of it in my album. on their website its under young sophisticates style # 2776. im changing the neckline to a sweetheart - i hope it looks good like that!
