I started to write you all on Wednesday complaining about how much stress we are under in regards to us moving, putting the house on the market, FH no longer working, and how sad I was that everything was going on with only 4 weeks to the wedding when the worst thing has happened. My FH mother passed away 2 days ago. Completely unexpected with a brain aneurism. No symptoms. No problems. Just passed away. I just cannot even believe. I just can't. It is so overwhelming, so sad, so absolutely horrible that it's just so hard to wrap your heart around. The first thing my FFIL said was that the wedding goes on because Mom was so excited about it and would be so sad to have us postpone it. She is getting buried in the dress she was going to wear. I guess what I'm asking is for some hugs, prayers, and thoughts. With three weeks to the wedding, the funeral arrangements beginning today, I don't know why, but I've been on here for a little over a year and just felt like writing. Love your parents. Love your in-laws. Nothing is certain in life. Hug them all the time and let the small things go. The only thing that matters is family. Thank you everyone.

I am so sorry. The same thing happened to a cousin of FH. Their uncle passed away 3 weeks before her wedding and everyone was devastated. She wanted to postpone everything but we all told her that her uncle would have been at her wedding if he were alive and would have a a blast as he always did. He would have wanted her wedding to go on. So your FFIL is right. Yes, it will be very sad (the uncle's name was in the 'In Memory' section of the program which was so painful), but you both have to try your best to make your wedding day a happy one. You may not be able to see her but she will be there with you, so make sure you're smiling!! Best of luck. You're in my prayers

I am in tears just reading this. I am so, so sorry for your loss. I lost my mom a few years ago and I know there are no words that can make it better. Please know you, your FH and his family are in my prayers.

Wow I am truly sorry for your loss. You are right though - the wedding should go on. I am sort of in the same boat with my father having just passed away this summer. Parents want the best for their children. Celebrate in her honor as well as in her memory. Enjoy your day and know she will be with you. Many prayers.

Oh my goodness that is so sad to hear - I have tears in my eyes. I'm so sorry for you and FH and family to be going through this now. I'm thinking about you all and wish you strength to get through this
