I could understand your friend drinking too much by mistake (you never really know how strong mixed drinks are unless you make them yourself). I've had 2 dirty martinis at one bar on a friend's birthday and was totally fine, but had 2 dirty martinis at a different bar on another occasion and....![]()

If it's an every time thing it's a problem. Does your friend feel embarrassed at all? Maybe suggest she drink beer or wine instead? (less strong for the same volume of liquid, so ideally she'd get drunk slower). Also a better way to keep tabs on how much you are drinking.
You can also keep an eye on her or cut her off if needed, but you really shouldnt have to be her babysitter for the night...![]()
I threw a potluck this summer that turned into a party![]()
and one of my coworkers got way too drunk. I don't know what he was thinking. We ended up pouring out his 'martini' and filling it with water instead. We didn't tell him, and he drank it + 'refills' for the rest of the night.

Yep! this is almost everytime we go out! if it was a once a while deal i don't think i would really care..but this is everytime! and the sad thing was she was drinking wine all night! she just doesn't know when to stop...
