It's so hard for me to accept this right now. I've always considered her my mom. She raised me from 2 months of age till I was 14 years old.
She died 8 days before my birthday. And she didn't make it to my wedding no matter how much I hoped and prayed that she would be able to see me walk down the aisle. I used to daydream of the day that I could sit with my granny while she held my baby and sang to it like she did to me when I was little. Now it's all gone. It all seems so surreal, I just can't stop crying. Everytime I stop crying I think of something else she did for me or something else I wanted to experience with her and I start all over again.

I am so sorry for your loss. I understand what you are going through. I lost my grandmother(my best friend) 5 years ago. It was the hardest thing ever. I too always thought she would be there on my wedding day. You have to know she will be there smiling down from above proudly. You will never forget her, but it does get better in time. You and your family are in my prayers. Stay strong!

This is one poem that really helped me when my mother passed away hope it helps...
God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be so he put his arms around you and whispered 'come to me'
With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away although we loved you dearly we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating hard working hands at rest God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes THE BEST.
