I chose my Flower Girl/Ring Bearer outfits ...... and a POLL about who pays!
I have confirmed my two flowergirls and two ringbearers, I am so excited! The FGs are FH's nieces and the RB are my nephews and godsons.
The poll is are you buying your FG/RB outfits or the parents of the children? Thanks!
My flowergirls dresses, cute simple ivory silk (it's hard to find ivory dresses!!):

Unless it's your 'gift'..then the child's parents buy the dress and outfit.

I voted for childs parents. I asked this question a while ago. I would have liked to offer to pick up the expense but we are just to damn broke right now lol.
I believe the parents are supposed to be responsible for it anyway

IMO the child's parents should pay, not the bride/groom. My mother actually paid for my niece/nephew's outfits though.

The parents should pay... just like your BMs pay for their dresses. Unless you are choosing something unusually expensive... in that case, if it were me, I'd offer to chip in a little bit.

My RB outfits were cheap except the ties are $50 each. Total of $100 for the RB total outfits: pants, blazer and tie. My sisters-in-law are paying for sure for that ... however the FG dresses are $160, is that too much to ask for some compensation? I don't know how to handle it as it's my FH's sister and they don't speak so often!!! Maybe we should just buy them?

In my experience, it's always been the parents. I HAVE heard parents complain about having to pay for a $400 dress that the bride picked out so if it is crazy expensive - maybe chip in.

IMO, I think that's too much to ask to the FG parents to pay. Especially if the mother isn't even on good terms with your FH. If you're def. set on that dress then I would say to pay for it yourself.

i paid for all and I had two of each also but it was my gift. I found a lot of ivory dresses at mygirldress and shopbriarpatch.com; all were about $60-$80. I think $160 is a lot... or is that for both dresses combined?

I paid for 1/2 my FG's dress. It was a little expensive and her mom is my MOH so I felt that I would have to cut the cost for aher somehow.

i choose the Parents IMO but in my case I FEEL bad doing that... My MOH had her dress to buy, then she is also the mother of the ringbearer AND Jr. BM so she has their outfits to buy.... I feel bad... but I am getting her and the kids nice gifts,,, Oh and the MOH in my case is FH's sister.

love the ties I know where those are from I would ask the parents to contribute maybe you can purchase the ties for the boys as their gifts

i was a flower girl 4 times as a child and the bride always paid. i am paying for my 3 flower girl dresses.

I'm purchasing them, because I picked them out. I wouldn't feel right telling people what they have to buy for their kids to wear to my wedding.
(I feel the same about bridesmaids, but don't shoot me)
A couple of the parents were a little upset and really wanted to pay me back, I told them they can just give me a extra gift.
I don't get it, its not like the kids will wear this stuff again. Its for your wedding, its for you.

agree! Our FG ensembles were about $40 total (my mom made them so it was just for the fabric and stuff) so I didn't feel so bad...the girls got sandals at payless and I gave them hairpins, so it wasn't too bad. If I was asking them to spend $100+ I would probably feel bad...just me though!
