I love my dress.. but it's the wrong color.

Instead it came in white. The tags and the paperwork all say ivory but it's just NOT
I honestly have to say im kinda down about this.
I called Macy's they're gonna see what they can do. *sigh*

The fact of the matter is that they ordered the wrong dress....they need to try to fix this problem.
Maybe not, if all of the tags say IVORY - it may just be that designer's fabric. - Can you call the designer directly and ask them to send to a swatch or something ?? Or explain to THEM what the problem is??

To be honest, a lot of the time you can't tell Ivory from White until you put them next to each other. - I thought my gown was white all along.........until I saw the silksatin WHITE for the designer...........the dress I tried on was def Ivory ! Good Luck !!

I think that may just be Demtrios's ivory. My friend had an ivory Detrious gown & I had no idea, untill she came lookign with me months after her wedding & we saw her dress. It still looked white to me.
The picture you posted ( from the site) looks ivory, but the lighting is weird.
They definitely should sow it to you compared to a white one, but really they shoudl have showed you SOMETHING in the ivory before you ordred it so you knew.
I know having no white at your weddign is important to you.

Thanks for understanding This is a big deal for me. Sorta goes in the face of all I've done.
But I do love the gown and I'll wear it.

My Demetrios dress is being ordered in ivory and at first after I tried on ivory in the store since that's the only color they had in the store to try on in that style, I thought twice about having an ivory dress, before officially changing it to white, I took my MOH with me to see the dress. I tried it on again and I was relieved that it was not 'typical' ivory and looked white, my sister saw a pic that my MOH took of me with the dress on and she could not believe it was ivory either. I think Demetrios does have a 'lighter' ivory than a lot of other designers. In fact I also found a veil I like at Macy's and they are ordering it in 'Diamond White' b/c the manufacturer's ivory is much darker than Demetrios ivory. I'm sorry though if it turned out disappointing and not what you had in mind.

I ordered from Macy's too. The gown I tried on was in coffee, so I haven't seen the ivory yet and I was picturing a creamy color.
Now I'm nervous that I am going to be upset when I see it too.
