I don't like to be mean, but I must bash Bridal Suite in Centereach!(long)

I went on Thursday night to pickup my BM dress for my best friends wedding. Everytime I go there, I have a negative experience. Myself, along with the bride, her MOH, MOB, and 2 other BM's were completely ignored. The first woman that was helping us brought us the wrong dresses, so when we told her they weren't the right ones, she just up and left, and never came back.
A young male came to us 10min later, asked the last name, and went downstairs to look, came back 10 min later with nothing!!! Then a young girl came in and nastily said, 'I don't understand why you are here, what do you all want to do today?!'' My BF said, 'we have an appointment for our last fittings!'
She stormed off, and then another lady came back, with the right dresses. She said you can try these on but you will have to come back with an appointment for our tailor!
I paid for my dress and said I would go elsewhere for my alterations. I had just about enough. The dresses for the flower girls would fit me and the girls are 8 and 9!
The last time I went there a BM was in there complaining that the brides dress that she got from there fell apart! And if she wasn't on her HM she would be there!
Never, Never again! Nasty workers!

wow, I don't understand why people have to be rude, i mean is it really that hard to be nice? Sorry you had a bad experience.

its not the first time i've heard something like this about that place.

but for anyone ordering from there keep in mind that no shop has 100% customer satisfaction so don't worry.

ETA:

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience, I would have done the same thing, take the dress and leave.

wow, thats really frustrating. That would totally turn me off to a place as well.

But I need to add that I had several great experiences there. They were super attentive and patient. I must of went in there like 5 times in two weeks looking at dresses. No one was pushy or rude and the prices were much lower than other shops I looked at it.

I just wanted to add a positive for girls who may have ordered from there.

I don't understand why some people in retail and especially bridal and wedding related are so rude. Customer service should be there top priority. Sorry you had such a negative experience.

I personally had a great experience there when I was a BM. I had no problems with the salespeople and the alterations were flawless.

However, the bride hated the place. She felt that they were pushy and rude. They also ordered the wrong color Bill Levkoff BM dresses -- think Grimace purple (the blob from the Mcdonald's commercials) and we had very little turn around time to correct the error. The bride also felt that they lied about us having to order the dresses from the same dye lot -- they originally insisted that there would be a difference in color. One of the dresses did arrive in the right color but they wouldn't return it with the other bm dresses -- all of a sudden they were insisting that it's not a problem to have dresses from differnt dye lots... hmmmm

So sorry you had to go through that. I ordered my dress and my BM's dresses and had nothing but positive experiences there. Everyone was super attentive and very patient. Maybe it was an off day?

So far, I've had a really wonderful experience with many workers there. They've been patient, creative and very organized. I really want to encourage you to talk to John...the owner. I'm sure he will help settle some of your frustration. But, if he isn't made aware of such episodes then they can't be corrected for the future. I'm sure that they will make it up to you.

my friend had a bad experience there too...i dont know why peopel hire these rude idiots to work in their stores...seems like they hire the peopel who have the sticks up their @SSES the highest lol

Wow, Im really surprised to hear something like this. I've been there so many times within the past year and they've been nothing but helpful for me. Im sorry you had such a bad experience but maybe they were just having an off day there or something.
