So one of my bridesmaids wrote a msg to all of us friends that she was already thinking about what to do for New Years Eve next year(2 days before my wedding). Note: all my bridesmaids are coming from out of state, and out of country...they mentioned the wanna be in NYC for new years eve...soo...i wrote them a long email about the hotel info i already looked into on long island and told them they can totally do what they want for New Years Eve since I'll prob have to entertain FH's family (who is also flying in from afar) as long as they are at the hotel on Long Island the afternoon of the day before the wedding so we can do dinner/drinks and hang out. Since i wrote a novel long of an email explaining NY and etc and how it is during new years and expenses and all, i feel sort of like they are going to think I'm totally crazy for bringing it up so far in advance. Also, I was kinda adamant about them being on Long Island the night before the wedding so they can be with me and so that i dont have people taking the train in on the morning of and making us late. Was that too harsh?? I mean i know they are here for MY wedding but I also understand they wanna see NYC since for some of them it's their first time here.

Re: I feel like a Bridezilla! (sorry it's long)
It depends on how you wrote it really, I think its totally understandable to ask everyone to be on LI the day before so as not to make you late, that would be extremely inconsiderate if that happened because they wanted to party in the city, like you said you asked them to be BM's at yourr wedding, so they should be ontime and not inconvience you.

ITA. I think it's completely fine to expect your BP to be with you the day before your wedding. Like you said, they are coming to NY for your wedding. I don't think that it was harsh....but as previously mentioned...it really depends on how it was written.

I should mention that i really sugar-coated everything and did not say anything about me being worried about them coming the morning of b/c they were in the city. I just made it clear that i would want them with me the evening before and that i want them to enjoy themselves for New Years Eve....i guess i'm just stressing about something sooo far away...and i think they are going to think i'm insane lolol (especially since they have no idea what weddings are like in NY haha)

I think it's fine b/c even if they go to Time Square on New Year's Eve most people go home right after b/c of standing all that time.

The only thing I can think of is they may think that you are talking about details a little far in advance. But you're not the only one talking about things in advance (your BM already began talking about NYE). So honestly I don't think your BMs are going to think anything weird about it. I think that they are just going to think that you and your BM are planning things in advance. Also, a lot of times it is an expectation for the BP to be with the bride/groom the night before the wedding because of the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.

Its not harsh! Your wedding is the reason they are coming! All of my bridesmaids are coming from out of town and I am trying my best to accommodate them any way I can BUT you must remember it is still your day!!
