Well ladies, it has been over two months and 20 reception halls but I finally decided to have my wedding reception at Land's End in Sayville next year.
Thank you so much to all of the brides who offered their advice on all of my top choices. It was such a hard decision! Each place has something unique that I loved about it.
In the end, I think we all picked awesome places. I am so relieved that this is behind me.
Of course, now I only have eight months until my wedding and I really need to find a dress!
Are any of these decisions easy?

I start looking for a dress asap... I went to RK Bridal in NYC.. they have tons of dress, by tons of designers.. and you dont need an appointment.. The girl who helped me was Amber, she was great!!
And No the decision do not get easier !!
I agree with RK, Olga is really great there too!

Congrats on making such a huge decision!! Land's End is a wonderful choice. It was actually our 2nd choice for our wedding!! When we went there to see it, I immediately fell in love. I hope you and your FH have a BEAUTIFUL day for your wedding!

Me too! I've been reading this board for the past couple of months and this is my first post. I've been feeling a little 'looserish' getting all this great info yet not posting...so all of you generous souls out there, please forgive me. Anyway, read your post and had to finally respond. Just put down my deposit today on Land's End for 9/8/2006 and couldn't be happier!!!! The decision was sooo torturious and I'm so bad at making them- but when I walked in there this gorgeous, sunny afternoon with my fiance and walked out to where cocktail hour would be and watched the ferry go by, I just knew I made the right decision. It's classy and beautiful, yet not over the top, just what I wanted. So happy for you- you sound so much like me- I too am now beginning the tedious process of finding 'The DRESS!!!!' Tedious but fun too! I know how hard it is for me to make decisions, so I can only imagine how long the process will take- going to BR tomorrow for the second time to try Eve and Lazaro- fell in love with Kenneth Pool at his trunk show at The Wedding Salon in Manhasset, but if I have to spend $6,000 then I had better comb through every dress I can before shelling out that kind of cash!!! Still must make a Kleinfeld's run at some point. Went to Iman, she was cool- but then came home and read all the negative posts- Thank God for this site. So still would like to see Justina McCaffrey and a few others. Let's keep in touch and monitor our progress.

Danielle - Congratulations on booking Land's End and also officially joining the Boards! I am thrilled to have another Land's End bride on the '06 Boards.
I went out to Lillette's in Baldwin today to try on dresses. I still haven't found one that I absolutely love.

Thanks. How was Lillette's- this board posts good things but I haven't been there yet. I came very close to buying an Ines DiSanto at BR in Carle Place today...but just couldn't quite committ!
I met another Land's End 06 bride in there- getting married the Sunday of Memorial day weekend. She was really nice- bought her gown today. Unfortunately, just when I was about to ask her if she's on this board, we got distracted and then I lost her....so if you're on here, fellow Land's End bride let me know!!! She and her Mom had been to a tasting already and they said it was out of this world- they just kept saying how many raves they here about it . YEAH!!!
