So FH and I have been looking for an apartment and were seeing a lot of not so good places (some didn't even have closets) and we were using a real estate person.
Anyway, last Friday FH was walking down my block (I still live at home) and saw a person who looked to be the super of a buidling accross the street and decided to ask him if any apartments were available. It turns out they had a great 1 bedroom, in our price range, available, we checked it out, loved it, sent in an application, got approved and they are sending us the lease tomorrow. I am so excited!!! They gave us the option of either July 15 or Aug. 1, I took Aug since there is way too much to do to move by next weekend.
I just wanted to share my good news!!!!

That's great! I have lived in several apts. on LI and it is so hard to find good ones! My last two I found on my own through newsday. The broker didn't bring me to anything great and you have to pay them so much money! I am glad it worked out for you

Congrats!!!!!!! We are looking for a house and it is so frustrating-we are trying to wait a year to see if prices go down -We hope they do-we want to live on LI!!! Good luck and happy moving!
