something new, i really hate a job where you sit behind the desk 9-5 and just do the same thing day in and day out and just dont like the whole corporate world. I prefer something more creative. I am in the works of something new but don't want to post now to jinx it lol

Congrats Denise!! So often so many of us arent brave enough to take that step and before you know it, it's 10 years later, and you're still in the same position making you unhappy. I'm so glad you've decided to take the big step. At least now you are almost forced to find something better for you!! Best wishes!!

I hear you 10000% on the whole corporate world part. My division was just sold so now I'm just waiting to see if i'm out or if there is a slight possibility I might still have a job.

Denise, good for you for going after what you want and what will make you happy!!!!

You'll be great...I don't know you but can tell from your persistance and the way you handled your invite crisis you'll be great at any job.

Denise congratulations!!!!! I am actually leaving my job right before the wedding too (of course it's not as soon as you, but June 3 is my last official day), but I just turned in my letter of resignation effective for that date!! It felt great, but also weird....so I totally hear where you're coming from....

....but isn't it an awesome feeling to know you will start a new life with your FH and hopefully find a great new job too!

you know what i remember your whole post about it and when to actually quit, i was going to Fm you to ask you what you did bc some suggested i quit after the HM and get a paid vacation and yeah makes alot of sense but i just decided to do it this way and get it over with now instead of coming back from HM and then doing it all.

But congrats to you, glad it worked out for you and you figured out when to do it.

It does feel great lol its like WOW this will really be a whole new life but i like it. Good luck to you

Yeah I finally just called HR and asked and she basically told me as long as it wasn't the first day of the month I would get medical benefits for the rest of the month, so I did 2 days in (since June 1 is Sunday)....but I will get paid for the vacation days I don't use anyway, so either way I get paid for the vacation....it was the medical benefits that I was concerned about b/c I can't get on FH's until we are married!

But yay! glad it worked out for us

I would love to be able to do the same thing...but don't have the courage or anything else lined up yet....if you are miserable at work...you end up bringing it home in the end..and that is never good.

i totally wish i could do the same riiiiight now...but im trying to be patient and wait until at least the end of the year.
