I get annoyed when someone claims they have NO $$ but...

Original post by cw0904

are always going away on vacation, go out once a week and spend over $100 (I know b/c when we go out together this is how much we spend and we all drink alot), just bought a brand new car.... This irritates me Or just went shopping and spent exhorbitant amounts of money. Go off and buy LV bags, and unnecessary jewelry that they claim they couldn't afford.
AND I know they are sitting on money

When credit cards aren't used wisely, they're evil.

Paying in cash isn't always the best option.

But I digress...
I do agree. It does irk me when people say they have no money, but yet can afford to have a vacation house in Fire Island, go drinking every weekend, buy new clothes or shoes, but yet b*tch about having trouble affording their rent. I have 2 friends like that. The others are anal retentive when it comes to finances.

Oh, Jenny just reminded me of the most obvious people that **** me off re: this topic. Friends of mine that rent apts in the city for 1000 a month (for just their 3'x2' bedroom) and don't make NEARLY enough to afford it, but do it just because it's the city and it's cool....and then complain uncontrollably about how they have no money. If you have such money issues, s u c k it up and get a cheaper apt. out of the city!!

i am right with you - we have friends and fdamily who cry poverty and then get all this stuff, go on trips, buy new cars, have houses, etc.....the things we can dream of right now...our wedding is enough!

Theresa - can you please tell that to Keith. That is why I wanted to rip his head off before. He just doesn't get it - if you don't have the money for it, don't buy it. Credit cards are for an emergency. Golf, beer and blockbuster - NOT emergencies
