That's sooooo cool. Any pics???? When I got one of mine I was told to only use soap and coco butter after 2 days. All the other stuff pulls the color out and it's not good to use.
I don't know if I would use coco butter, as anything that is scented can cause irritation or infection. You should use the A&D for about a week, and then just use any unscented lotion until its completely healed. I used Lubriderm unscented lotion for all of my tattoos. DH's tattoo shop sells a tin full of this solution that is almost the consistency of chap stick and you rub it on the tattoos also. I don't know the name of it..but that's all i got.

i totally want to get matching or connecting tattoos, some days DH is into it and other days not so much.... my biggest issue is where to get it.... i am so indecisive.....
any ladies want to share picts for some inspiration.... i would love it

A&D ointment is the best.
Just don't over saturate the tattoo, it needs to breathe and scab up a bit.
And make sure when you're out in the sun you cover the tattoo with zinc!

I used A&D ointment, its what they suggested. When cleaning it use an antibacterial soap, clean it and then after put the ointment on it, do that about 2x a day. A&D is what they always suggested to me
Thats what I used too. DH and I are going to get celtic knots in a few weeks. I think what you guys got is a great idea too

I've had 3 tattoo artists tell me to not use a & d ointment anymore. For my past 4 tattoos I've used unscented Lubriderm. Just keep a thin layer on it at all times. I know the neck is hard. I have a rather large tattoo on the back of my neck and hair keeps getting stuck in the lotion. It's gross. I'm sure it's really nice.

I really like your idea! DH had my name done on his chest 6 months after we met (good thing we woked out lol) and I had his name done about 6 months before our wedding. I like the 'date' idea. I'll have to tell DH about it. I wasn't going to get anymore, but DH is trying to convice me to get another. He already had 7 so I guess it doesn't matter much to him. YIKES! I hate that feeling

2 years ago when I and DH were just dating for only a few months I dared him to get my name tattooed on his back and he did it!! He has my name with 2 shamrocks around it. Pretty big leap of faith. Guess he knew we were meant to be :)
