i got flowers

I ended up having to work all weekend so i was really depressed because I didn't get to see my friend run in the marathon, and i was missing FH big time and totally bummed. He called me at my office before and told me i sounded so sad, b/c I worked both days and back to work tomorrow and i have tons of schoolwork to do and haven't made a dent.

so i get home today from work and he's not home b/c he had to visit his grandma in the hospital and then he was picking up taco fixings to make us dinner. so I'm reading my boring textbook and he comes in with a dozen roses!!! i was SO excited - i never get flowers except on my bday and I told him once i was sick of roses so i haven't gotten them in like 3 years!!!

but i was just so happy because it totally cheered me up and made my crappy weekend so much better and i am going to sound like a sapmonster but he is the best, i love him and seriously thank the lord that with my crazy life right now he is my rock and i can't wait to come home to him every night.

okay sigh long vent post over. I just figured you girls would understand.

thanks! I am totally overwhelmed but it was such a huge treat. And not like he isn't thoughtful but it's pretty uncharacteristic of him to do that sort of stuff. after 4 years getting flowers kind of dies down, you know

Yes I now about the dwindling flowers. Im always hint to Fh to bring me just for nothing flowers I guess that is what I get for saying I really dont like flowers when we first started dating

that's EXACTLY what i did. I said don't ever get me roses on v-day, it's a rip off and i'm sick of them anyway, and i'm not that into flowers, etc. since then i've only gotten the assorted (read: UGLY) flower arrangement from 1800 flowers. but i really missed getting them so he's redeemed himself now for a while
