i got the biggest tease in the world today

so i emailed the BM at vanderbuilt mansion to get a price quote for a sunday twilight wedding and he emailed me back and told me 61pp++ for a day wedding and 67pp++ for evening and 75pp++ for twilight!!!

so obviously i'm like woah! serious?! just as i'm about to schedule the appt, and i ask him 'this IS for the vanderbuilt mansion right?'

and i get emailed back telling me those are for timberpoint, i manage both properties... gah!!!

ok i knew it was too good to be true, but c'mon wouldn't you have been excited if you were me this morning?

anyways, what was the biggest tease any of you had whilst planning?

(this should've been my qotd for tomorrow but whatever, i had to share my today experience today lol)

oh don't worry ladies, i had no idea thats what it was called until like a couple of weeks ago...

twilight wedding usually means early evening...since im planning on having a sunday wedding, i didn't want it early early like 12pm ceremony or late like 6pm ceremony, so i'm inquiring a lot about twilight ceremonies that usually happen around 4pm, that way my guests can take their time during day (as can i) and end the party earlier around 9 so they won't get home too late for work the next day if they don't decide to take off.

that really stinks, what a tease, i'm sorry , i like the idea of a twilight wedding on a sunday

awww that stinks, I called them for an appointment. I was told they also charge a site fee of $1500 for a Friday and Sunday night and $2500 for a Saturday.

haha yea that was a big tease, but i got over it, if it sounds too good to be true it usually is right? oh well!

thanks, ideally i'd like a twilight wedding..but a lot of places don't accomodate this so i will most likely end up choosing a day or evening wedding, i'll keep youse all posted

So we really wanted Flowerfields and my mother was trying to negotiate with them but they were set on the price. So she said she was going there one last time to see what she can do. When she gets home she calls me and tells me that we got it. I was screaming, jumping up and down. Then she tells me there is a catch. I have to get married Sept 13 of 2008!!!! (this was back in May) I thought I was going to pass out just thinking of all the stuff that needs to be done. But I was still so excited. Then she tells me no it was all a joke!!!!

timberpoint country club is really nice. That was one of the top choices for fh and i. the only reason we did not go with them is because FSIL got married there, and we kinda wanted to have 'our' place. but her wedding was really nice

dont know if you are considering it but it is really nice there.
