I got the call!! My dress is in. I cant wait to go visit it. They said not to schedule my first fitting no earlier than a month before. is this normal? I cant believe it. I trully have to go see this dress ASAP!!

That's Great!! It is so exciting its surreal!! My seamstress is starting my fittings in the Beginning of March and My wedding is 5/25. I think you would need more than 1 month.

Yep. That seems about right..I wouldnt do it more than a month before...congrats on the dress!

Congratulations! I just went to see my dress yesterday. I'm getting married in July and they told me to schedule my first fitting in April.

YAAAY i love the call! They told me not to get my fitting till late March but I convinced them to move to late Feb. :)

A first fitting when the dress comes in should be 2-3 months before. 2 is a good range. If I remember correctly, my dress was in late March, and I think I went for my first fitting in April, 2nd in mid/end May, and my third a week before the wedding. I was having mad issues with my dress, so I needed to shedule a 4th immediate fitting a few days before my weddig, cause they made my pickups too low!
I guess the bridal salon thinks its ok. But, I dunno, usually brides have 2-3 fittings before the wedding. Maybe they don't want brides in there as often cause we'll all phycho! LOL! I would definitely not wait til 1 month be4 the wedding or have just one or 2 fittings, but thats me, personally.

oh and Stephanie, BTW, if ur dress is a corset - and all ur women/mother/bm don't know how to do it - Don't worry - VINNIE DOES! LOL! He dressed me!!!! lol

That sounds normal to me. My place told me that the dress won't come in until 1-2 months before (it is planned that way) and that's when the first fitting will be.
