i had a sad moment today,.....

I know there are some of you who have lost a parent or close loved one and can relate to this........

It has been bothering me since day 1 but today it really hit me that my nanny ( moms mother) is not here to see me get married. all thru my chidhood we were so close . When she passed away 10 years ago it was the most devestating thing in my life she was my best friend.

Today when i realized my countdown said 30 days and change i started going over weding stuff and when i saw 'make nannys bo-k charm pic' i lost it i was so emotional. It hurts so bad that she will not be here. I know she is with me in spirit but its still not the same, after that i started thinking about my friend Steve who will ot be here either because he lost his life to a drink driver 7 years ago. Its so hard! I am not nervous about the wedding....nothing is really getting to me.......except this! sorry to be a downer but i just needed to get it out

awwww I know how you feel. I have more time then you do til the wedding but I feel the pain. It is going to be so hard for me that my brother will not be at my wedding. He has passed almost 2 years now and it gets harder everyday.
It's ok to let it out and cry it's going to be hard but she will be right by your side.

I'm sorry for your loss. Throughout this planning process I have gotten very sad at times thinking about how my father is not going to be at my wedding and see me marry FH, whom he loved like a son. There really isn't anything anyone can say to you to make you feel any better. Just keep her in your thoughts on your wedding day and know that somehow she is with you.

I know, I am so sorry that you have to go through that - I also lost my grandmother and I lost it a few days before the wedding,

It is hard, I am not going to lie - but I wore a piece of her clothing sewed to the inside of my dress and when i thought about it i knew she was there with me

i wish there was something i could say to make you feel better, but it still hurts

just hang in there, know she is with you

I cant imagine how hard that is for you . But I do know that having your family and Boscos with you on your day will make it easier. Remeber how happy you were to see his mom at your shower? Your Nanny and Steve will be with you that day . you may not see them but they will see you . Two gaurdian angels making sure your day is perfect. Im leaving work soon would you like some company?

i know how you feel.. i was close to my aunt who passed away almost 2 years ago in a freak boating accident.. so sudden.. its sad, but just remember that your loved one will be there with you in spirit on your wedding day. .and every day

I know exactly how you feel I lost my grammy last year I was completely devastated. She passed a month after FH and I got engaged. I was heartbroken but she will be there with me and she is with me always and the same goes for yours.

I understand how you feel. It's natural for you to have these feelings. And though it's certainly not the same as having them physically there with us, I do believe they will be there with us in spirit. Something happened at my friend's ceremony that she felt was a positive sign from her father...it helped her to believe that he was there with her. I'm curious to see if anything like that will happen for me. Don't be surprised if there is something special between you and your grandmother that you notice that day.

I completely understand how you feel... my Bachi (mom's mom) raised me... my mom went straight back to school and mon - fri bachi would stay at my parent's house. My grandmother is still alive but she has severe Alzheimer's. She doesn't know who I am - when she still remembered me she would beg me to get married soon so that she can be at the wedding. Taking her out of her home confuses her so much that we can't even fathom having her there. I have her stone in my e-ring... it breaks my heart that she won't be there.

i went through this big time...i just lost my pop pop this past october, then my cousin the week of my wedding (she was buried the day i was married actually) and i still lose it when i think about it. I know they were watching me though bc it was supposed to pour that day and the weather was GORGEOUS.....completely different then what the weatherman called for! I'm sorry you are going through this....i don't have much to say to help, but you will get through this.
