I know there are some of you who have lost a parent or close loved one and can relate to this........
It has been bothering me since day 1 but today it really hit me that my nanny ( moms mother) is not here to see me get married. all thru my chidhood we were so close . When she passed away 10 years ago it was the most devestating thing in my life she was my best friend.
Today when i realized my countdown said 30 days and change i started going over weding stuff and when i saw 'make nannys bo-k charm pic' i lost it i was so emotional. It hurts so bad that she will not be here. I know she is with me in spirit but its still not the same, after that i started thinking about my friend Steve who will ot be here either because he lost his life to a drink driver 7 years ago. Its so hard! I am not nervous about the wedding....nothing is really getting to me.......except this! sorry to be a downer but i just needed to get it out

i went through this big time...i just lost my pop pop this past october, then my cousin the week of my wedding (she was buried the day i was married actually) and i still lose it when i think about it. I know they were watching me though bc it was supposed to pour that day and the weather was GORGEOUS.....completely different then what the weatherman called for! I'm sorry you are going through this....i don't have much to say to help, but you will get through this.
Ohh, I didn't know you lost your father recently...aww. I can just imagine how hard it was for you. I soo believe things like that. That happened to a cousin of mine too. Her father passed away when she was young. He was the best person!! She was having her ceremony outside. It poured out, but the sun was out long enough for her to have her ceremony outside. I always said that was him being there for her. People may think it's crazy, but if you believe it, it can bring you some comfort. I'm glad you had a beautiful day inspite of everything!

omg no....pop pop is my grandfather...my dad is alive and well thank god

I know What you mean. My dad passed away three years ago and every time I see a granddad with a granddaughter, I tear up. My dad won't be there to see those moments in my children's lives.
When weddings happen I get so upset when dads are walking their daughters down the aisle. However I know he is watching me as my guardian angel.
Just remember the good times and that although your grandmother is not physically there she is definitely watching over you.
