i hate 2/3 of my BP!

Girls, I am so sad.... I hate my friends and some people in my BP.... i don't usually vent on here, but this *****!

My sister (MOH) worked so hard to plan a bachelorette party for me. Turns out, 1 BM tells her this week, sorry, i can't get out of work. another had a family emergency (I understand) but it still *****...

and then my friends.... 1 says i have to go to a baby shower....that she planned for her brother's preggo girlfriend... how do you plan that when you KNEW the date of the bachelorette? and then the FSIL's step-father's aunt died so she's stuck babysitting her step-brother? Find a babysitter! then my cousin got 'finally' got tickets to mary poppins... 'Sorry,' she says...

I am so bummed about this... we started with like 10 people and now we are down to 3 people and me!!!! my sister asked if i wanted to invite friends from work, but i figured no... let's stick with the BP and my cousins... that would be enough.... i guess i was naive enough to think that the BMs would COME and help PLAN my bachelorette???!! shocking... (please note sarcasm!)

so it's just me, my sister, FSIL (who came all the way from Florida for this) 1 friend (not even in BP but loves me enough to come all the way from boston)... i guess i should just try and have fun with the people who are coming out... but i just feel bad... i always do everything for everyone else and the one night it was supposed to be about me, they all bail... and so many of them were so disrespectful of my sister... she didnt' tell 'til recently that some of them didn't reply to phone calls or e-mails... and ALL the people now NOT coming AGREED to this date 4 months ago!!!!!

sorry to vent... just sad and mad!!!!

i'd be mad too!!


ETA: if i lived on long island i would come celebrate with u, but i live in philly.

Id be upset too-maybe invite some of your gfs that arent in the bp! Im sorry dont you hate when people fall out on you

Yeah, i thought of that... but it's THIS saturday... and i don't want them to feel like they were an after-thought....

I dont blame you for being upset! I am so sorry that this happened to you! I am hoping that you have the best night anyway!!!!

I'd be upset too....I don't blame you. I don't understand how the closets people in our lives can really become the most difficult when it comes to weddings, it's so strange.

I was talking to one of my BMs the other night about my B'Party and how I feel bad everytime I ask them all to buy something (dress..shoes...) and she goes 'ya know....I'm gonna stop you right there......you are going to be doing the same thing for me in a few years, I don't mind at all....you need to get rid of that guilty concious of yours' & I thought to myself I wish EVERYONE in everyones Bridal Party can see that!

When I took on the task of MOH (for my sister) & BM ( for a good friend)...I had fun doing it and loved it (this was even before I was engaged!)...I don't think I can or will ever understand why some people always bail out or complain....never! & maybe that's just me b/c I couldn't do that to a friend

With that siad----HAVE FUN!!! The people that are there will be the people you will have the most fun with anyway!!!

I hate when people commit to something and then back out at the last minute They are being lazy! Call them out on it and if they don't come around by Saturday go out with the rest of your BP and party hard Forget about them!

Thanks Devon.... your post is how I feel. It made me sad because I would do it for them if it was their wedding and I actualyl did it all (BP stuff or singing at their wedding, etc. etc.) for some of them for their weddings... that's why i am so upset. it's not about where we're going or how many people.. i am sad that for whatever reason that didn't think it was a big deal to cancel on me....because it really hurt my feelings and was rude to my sister (she's out a lot of money on a limo that a lot less people will be riding in...) what can you do???

Forget about them for the night & go out there and have the best night ever!! They'll be sad they missed it

Your sister might be able to call the limo company and get them to downsize the limo, tell her to try.

Girl I feel you I have a similar situation....just try to screw it and have a great time anyway...take awesome pics do awesome things and make all these a s s h o l e girls jealouse they didn't make it...some people are just so self absorbed...

I say you go out with your true girls, and tear it up!!!

You have every right ot fell this way! It really stinks when you go all out for people and then when its your turn they all bail!!!! I invited something like 70 plus poeple to my Bridal shower and only 21 showed up!!! Big rude awakening for me!!!!!
Just try and make the best of it with the poeple that really care about you!!!!

I am so sorry They made you feel this way. I know what you mean this year I went every where for all my friends birthdays the NYC , Atlantic city, Florida for 2 nights my birthday this year my sister and my fh and my soon to be sister in law were the only ones to hang and all we did was go to a bar and hang. I was pretty up set that day I can't even imagine how you must feel. I think you have all rights to be mad. Sorry.

Thanks, tricia! we could go to South Street and Penn's Landing... and who can resist a stop at Gino's for a cheesesteak? i love philly!

I would be PO'ed! I understand some of the excuses, but Mary Poppins? Come on! See it's things like this that I keep in my mind for when my friends get married-so far everyone has beeen wonderful, but I am expecting some kind of drama.

I am so sorry that this is happening to you. Are u sure this isnt a joke? Maybe they are trying to throw you a surprise Bachelorette party.

OMG!!!!! I understand why your so pisssed off and heated. I would be as well. My suggestion would be to call those that backed out and let them know you’re disappointed. If they still cannot go then party, party, and party some more with those that are attending. I would even share pictures immediately after to let the gals who initially said they were coming see what they missed. Sending you hugs
